t's not your fault, ladies (and certainly not your partner's), that you don't orgasm every time you have intercourse, or that you lack the libido of a 17-year-old boy. You have a disease: female sexual dysfunction (FSD), and the pharmaceutical industry wants to help. You are among the "43 percent of American women [who] experience some degree of impaired sexual function," according to a Journal of the American Medical Association article. The FDA's evolving definition of FSD includes decreased desire or arousal, sexual pain and orgasm difficulties -- but only if the woman feels "personal distress" about it.So, convincing women to feel distress is a key component of the drug company strategy to market a multi-billion-dollar pill that will cure billions of women of what may not ail them.By promoting the belief that "normal" women have explosive sex all the time, BigPharma helped launch the disease

Why don't they just call it, "What'sthematterb!tch? Syndrome"? Socially constructed disorders are hilarious.
I swear, these folks will do anything for a buck. It's so pathetic all one can do is laugh.

You're just chasing phantoms now. Are you honestly looking for every little foothold you can grab to slam the pharmacy/insurance/medical companies?
1) Who are you to say it's not a real disease? There are indeed women out there who never have and find themselves unable to climax. It can be a very frustrating issue for both partners involved, and can affect not only physical but also emotional intimacy. If there's a way for them to circumvent the problem, I'm sure your opinion is the last thing on their mind.
2) I'm just going to give you the benefit of the doubt and say you happened to pick a stupid example. And that the larger problem is that pharmacy companies market solutions to minor problems. It seems all too easy to blame "the man" for making us victims, but honest to god...I'm so tired of people trying to find ways to be seen as victims. Yes, there are pills for everything. Some of which are wholly unnecessary. And who's fault do you think that is? If you look past the self righteous crusades, it all comes down to personal responsibility. Society as a whole has become -very- untolerant of discomfort. What's seen as luxuries in the rest of the world are basic necessities here. We're so brainwashed with the idea of a perfect utopia that any hardship whatsoever that we face is seen as a great affront which noone should expect us to face. There's only a pill for everything because we demand a cure for every common place inconvenience that we don't want to have to deal with.

Funny Viking, that you chose to slam a treatment intended to improve womens' sexual function and enjoyment.
I don't ever recall you criticizing Viagra.

OMG!!! Isn't ED an objection disease vs subjective. And while we are on the topic, what do they do for an erection lasting more than 4 hours when a man goes to the ED? How do you reverse that?

Back in the day, I dealt with priapism in children and adolescents with sickle cell. Most of the time ice and pain relief were effective as we aggressively went after their disease exacerbation. In severe cases we used direct injection of phenylephrine. Gosh, that was a time in my life.

And let's not forget "restless leg syndrome" ... How did humanity survive this long without expensive Rx drugs to treat RLS?
And lets not forget luxury cars with built in ipod docks.
