Health care

'Executive Order on Strengthening Medicaid and the Affordable Care Act.' Reopens enrollment on HealthCare.gov from February 15 through May 15, and directs federal agencies to reexamine policies that may reduce or undermine access to the Affordable Care Act.

'Memorandum on Protecting Women's Health at Home and Abroad.' Rescinds the "Mexico City Policy," a ban on US government funding for foreign nonprofits that perform or promote abortions.

The memorandum also directs the US Health and Human Services Department to immediately move to consider rescinding the Trump administration rule blocking health care providers in the federally funded Title X family planning program from referring patients for abortions, according to the Biden administration....

... COVID-19

'Proclamation on the Suspension of Entry as Immigrants and Non-Immigrants of Certain Additional Persons Who Pose a Risk of Transmitting Coronavirus Disease.' Reinstates COVID-19 travel restrictions for individuals traveling to the United States from Brazil, the Schengen area, the United Kingdom, Ireland and South Africa.

'Memorandum to Extend Federal Support to Governors' Use of the National Guard to Respond to COVID-19 and to Increase Reimbursement and Other Assistance Provided to States.' Directs the Federal Emergency Management Agency to expand reimbursement to states to fully cover the cost for National Guard personnel and emergency supplies.

'Executive Order on a Sustainable Public Health Supply Chain.' Accelerates manufacturing and delivery of supplies for vaccination, testing and personal protective equipment.

'Executive Order on Establishing the COVID-19 Pandemic Testing Board and Ensuring a Sustainable Public Health Workforce for COVID-19 and Other Biological Threats.' Establishes the Pandemic Testing Board to expand US coronavirus testing capacity.

'Executive Order on Improving and Expanding Access to Care and Treatments for COVID-19.' Establishes a preclinical program to boost development of therapeutics in response.

'Executive Order on Ensuring a Data-Driven Response to COVID-19 and Future High-Consequence Public Health Threats.' Enhances the nation's collection, production, sharing and analysis of coronavirus data.

'Create more vaccination sites.' Directs FEMA to create federally supported community vaccination centers....

I would have to look at it a bit more carefully but I'm not really seeing this as as him immediately jumping on a radically left agenda as Senator Rubio portrays him.  There's really nothing earth shattering there but perhaps some of the immigration stuff and the allowance of qualified persons (I.e. transgendered) to serve in the military.

Really I feel the majority of the dissent will come from the following orders;

'Paris Climate Agreement.' Rejoins the Paris climate accord, the landmark international agreement signed in 2015 to limit global warming.

The Climate Accords will be just fine, as long as they maintain guidance and council to help lower emissions and maintain current state of living for the American people. It will get dicey when the "Carbon Tax" begins to cause  the US to send billions overseas to help developing nations

'Executive Order on Protecting the Federal Workforce.' Restores collective bargaining power and worker protections for federal workers, and lays the foundation for a $15 minimum wage.

This... I don't know where to start with this. If you raise your income, then your standard of living will increase. If you raise everyone's income, then the cost of standard of living will raise for everyone.  It is true that the rise will not be immediate. But the market will change to reflect the new higher wages, and we will be in the same situation as now.

Requires non-citizens to be included in the Census and apportionment of congressional representatives.

This is another interesting one. Why would they want to have representation for those who have not become US citizens? I wonder if it has to do with the number of non-citizens living in democratically controlled counties. Is this not vote buying at the very least? or Gerrymandering at worst?

I understand that there are a lot of promises that were made and they are trying to fulfill them in one, or 40+, fell swoops. My personal silver lining is that executive orders are policies that can be changed or retracted in the future.

It's important for the USA to act as a global leader in remedying climate change.

The complaint that increasing the federal minimum wage will simply increase cost of living is tired and over used while ignoring that cost of living doesn't stagnate simply because wages do. The math doesn't work.

Non citizens also utilize schools and other resources that are allocated or developed by population.  All people living in a state should be counted for their congressional allotment, right? Or should some people living and working in a state only count as 3/5 of a person...or maybe not at all?

Yes.  Executive orders are temporary and Biden is busily making Trump's EOs obsolete and irrelevant as quickly as possible.  No point in perpetuating the failed policy of a twice impeached liar.

Utilizing media which consistently provides partisan perspective, while skewed decidedly to the right, with questionable accuracy is certain to result in a confused, inaccurate and biased view of reality.

Executive order are typically specific to each President, when a President leaves office it's common to revoke the previous President's executive orders, just as it's common to replace the press secretary, senior advisors, cabinet, etc.  Most of those positions don't automatically end at the end of a President's term, while it seems silly a process has to occur to transition from one administration to another, the same is true for EO's.

Trump didn't have a lot of success and/or interest in implementing his goals through legislation, so most of it occurred through EO's, leaving a long list of EO's for Biden to revoke.

While Biden's list of EO's so far is pretty long, they are almost all revoking the previous administration's EOs.

Most of the supply chain in the 'clean energy' sector comes from China because Trump reversed the Obama and Bush administrations' investments in these economic sectors in favor of the coal industry, because apparently Coal is the energy source of the future.

Sure.  The first solar panel salesman came to my parents house before we ever owned a VCR.  And, I doubt the Chinese just got into this in just the past few years.

But, its Trump's fault the  clean energy sector has never been in favor of consumers, and therefore investors.

Show of hands....who here has solar and wind powering their home?  Its available,  why havent you invested?

Trump administration wind and solar approvals lag Obama record: study Rueters

Under Trump's Tariffs, The US Lost 20,000 Solar Energy Jobs Forbes

Quote

However, solar energy jobs have stagnated and dipped for two consecutive years since the Department of Energy’s initial report, with a loss of 10,000 jobs in 2017 followed by a further 8,000 in 2018. Although some job losses were foreseen as a result of project finalizations in several states, the biggest contributing factor was President Trump’s tariffs on solar panels . The first shot fired in what would become a wide-ranging trade war with China in 2018, the U.S.’ decision to add a 30% tariff on foreign-produced solar panels had a negative effect on its domestic solar industry, which heavily relies on cheap imports.

We utilize solar as much as we can here in the arctic.  We could use more wind and hydro power. There's an entire hotsprings resort community here that exists with geothermal electricity.

For less than two dollars a month we customers of Los Angeles DWP can choose 100% renewable electricity. Our electricity is from the wind. Having our own department our rates are much less than those paid in other California cities and towns.
