Hey guys, I was just wondering if anyone applied to Beth Israel NYC for this coming Fall? I applied there and I really want to get in. I always wanted to go. If anyone knows if it's hard to get in, or what score they are looking for on the NLN exam that would be rally helpful. And is it true that the only start giving interviews in May????

I am somewhat shy about calling or emailing ** ***** again, but I guess I should put that to the side. Cuz for real this waiting game is sooo killing me!!! This past month has been stressful, not only because of the waiting that this entails, but also because my little ones have been sick.. :cry:..

Hi everyone,

I received an ambiguous letter from Beth Israel. It stated the Admissions Committee has closed the admissions for the Fall, 2009. In addition to informing me of the opportunity to reactivate my application for next Fall, the letter also recommended that " contact the Admissions Office to be alerted to potential strategies to augment [my] opportunity for improved stand in the applicant pool (i.e., submission of transcript demonstrating improved college GPA, etc.) This is when the letter becomes ambiguous to me. Does this mean the current applicant or future applicant pool? I saw another thread where an applicant was accepted after receiving her transcript for the current semester. My GPA last semester was 2.33. I received an incomplete for my Chemistry class. I was unable to take the final due to a family emergency. I'm taking that final tomorrow. This should increase my GPA from last semester to a 3.7; what do you guys think?

I am not sure what your letter means, but thanks for sharing. I am disappointed if they really are full, as I didn't even get an interview, but I guess we will apply earlier next year!

Good luck with figuring out the letter, I hope someone can help you, but I would just call ** ***** tomorrow!

I am sorry to hear that, are you serious? I cannot believe you did not get an interview. The fall class is already full, that is horrible news, especially since I didn't get an interview or letter yet. I am calling tomorrow and so should you.

I just wanted to say I feel for you, I feel the same way..it is such horrible news, and more horrible, as we have not received it officially yet, but it seems quite final. I hope you get some good news tomorrow, not one of those letters, and if not let me know your plan B, I am already trying to find Spring 2010 admissions info..just got to keep trying!

Thanks ladies,

surprisingly, I'm not bummed. I know we all end up where we belong. I'm still waiting to hear from LICHSON. If for some reason I don't get accepted, I'll go back to The Swedish Institute next year and get my LMT. I'll reapply next year.

I feel like we are in limbo... we don't receive a letter of rejection, but we haven't gotten an interview either... this sucks.. I guess patience is a virtue... Lord help us!!!

lily127, I am in such shock, I really thought we would be accepted. I spoke with Ms.Gallo on monday, she told me my file was still with the commitee, but I am now very worried. Especially since I don't feel very hopeful about LICHSON.

I will keep you guys posted after I speak with Ms.Gallo.
