Beth Israel Nursing School NYC

Published

Hey guys, I was just wondering if anyone applied to Beth Israel NYC for this coming Fall? I applied there and I really want to get in. I always wanted to go. If anyone knows if it's hard to get in, or what score they are looking for on the NLN exam that would be rally helpful. And is it true that the only start giving interviews in May????

Specializes in ICU.

Congratulations to nursefor2011 and NurseRica!!! I am so excited for you both!!

Also thanks to everyone for their good wishes!! I hope there are plenty more acceptance posts today :)

Thank you liz0105 and Triple As! :)

I am hoping for more good news later today and next week! :D

Congratulations to everyone that received their acceptance letters!!:yeah:

Hey, Congrats to all who got accepted !!

What was the process ? Did you go for an interview first ?

New to applying to nursing schools in New York/ New Jersey and living in California for the past 5 years it's really confusing since the process to applying is so much different.

Specializes in Mother-baby,NICU,Peds.

Congratulations on everyone getting accepted.

@Dani; after they receive your application and NLN scores, they will call you in for an interview. Based on the application, grades, NLN scores, and interview, the committee will meet to determine whether they will accept you.

Also, forgot to congratulate liz on getting accepted!

(Sorry for posting twice)

Just read and saw that NurseRica got accepted as well! So, congratulations to both Liz and Nurse Rica!! :)

Woo hoo to everyone. :yeah:So the girls who got accepted already (liz0105, nursefor2011, nurseica, shanaj) tell us all your full names so that we can look you up if we too are accepted. I figure you won't be on this forum for much longer. :clown:

Noo I love this thread! This is the only thing that kept me sane during the waiting process.

Btw, I don't think anyone here has to worry.. Everyone has high nln scores and good background info. If I got accepted, I bet everyone here will too! Remember I said I was too embarrassed with my scores.. My composite score was only 120 because of the English section. So you guys dont have to worry at all! :)

Thanks nursefor2011! Congrats to you too! =D Hope to see everyone here next fall

Do they go by a certain percentile in each subject ? Or is it overall ?

This site is great! Definitely keeps me motivated :)

Congrats to all those who were accepted  and good luck to those still waiting!!

So I was accepted to the program but for the 3 year track- they told me it was because they felt my science part on the nln wasn't as high as they wanted-a 78...even though i got a composite score of 130 . So they put me in the 3 yr program instead of the 2 yr traditional. I don't think I'm going to end up going though since I only wanted to go to the 2 yr...:sniff:

What type of score were they looking for on the math portion ?

This definitely was not the best math test I ever took :(

The other subjects I did really well in.
