Hi Prasin
My PD is March 2004 and NVC transfered my case to mumbai in november'04.
Yeah ,I donno what exactly is happening there in the consulate . The responder was sounding very neutral. Anyway let us all wait for the ryte time. I understand this wait was unbearable and when we know that retrogression is cleared for us and still can't see anything moving. it really upsets. Anyway I have stopped waiting and just have diverted my mind in some other good things. :)
By the way , I called up consulate on this no. 23637407/08 . You have to have lot of patience till the executive comes on line. You can best catch him between 8:30am to 12n or 2:00 to 4:00pm . on tuesday to friday.
What's ur PD prasin ?? I hope u are scheduled in next month.
All the best to all my friends in our nursing community who is in the process of waiting like myself and prasin.

Have read from other post/forum that they have finished the preliminary interview but were dissapointed t know that they were not given an exact date when they will go back for the "final" interview. They were asked to check with the US embassy in Manila sometime in September. Any similar info on these?
Nakakatakot!

I went to US embassy last monday (july 11) for my preliminary appointment. All they did was take our visa screen certificates plus the appointment letter, the original and 1 photocopy. After 3 hours of waiting, there, they called our names and gave the packet 4. I was scheduled for medical exam on july 18, final interview on july 22. I guess the purpose of the preliminary appointment is to see if those nurses who filed for NVC but have not submitted their visa screen certificates to their office have in fact already in pocession of a visa screen certificate. And of course to schedule them for final interview.
Maybe those who were asked to check with them(embassy) at a later date do not have visa screen certificate?
Fear not my friend, all of those I'm with last monday were scheduled for medical and final interview this july. Ahhh this is in manila us embassy.

That's great news! I also think that those scheduled for preliminary interviews are those who were not able to send the visa screens.
CONGRATULATIONS!
Hey everybody who are waiting for interview schedule, NVC is not yet done in scheduling the interviews in August. We can still be included, it's anybodys ballgame. So many I485 approvals huh?!!! I'll bet CPs will follow!
Hi dhel28!
Where did you learn that there are many I-485 cases being processed? Are you saying that they are given priority for August 2005 interview? Until now, I haven't heard from other agencies if they receive an appointment letter for their applicants.
Is it possible to receive an appointment letter just a week before your scheduled medical exam?

Have read in other forums that there are several I-485 approvals. I do not think that it is being prioritized over CP it's just happening because everybody is focused in the processing of shedule A cases.
Got a message from my agency that NVC will be the one to call them so I may or may not receive an appoinment letter but my agency will forward the needed documents for my interview as soon as I have a schedule (original contracts printed in their letterhead, hospital assignments, etc) So do not worry if you do'nt receive an appoinment letter, confirmed interview schedule at the US embassy maybe relayed thru your agency, NVC email, NVC hotline, US embassy website. And you can even have an interview schedule ahead of the medical and the packet 4! I believe these are happening because they are facilitating the processing of schedule A before Sept 1, 2005! :rotfl:

Hi Denzel!
Did they ask you about your nursing experience in the Philippines? Are they requiring a work experience before they'll grant you a visa? I heard it said that most consul would check your working experience and most of them would require you to work first if they found you had not had any experience, is this true?
Oh by the way, most agencies I've known has not received an appointment letter for August 2005, maybe there's a delay in sending a letter.(IPAMS, Good Day, Juno and Sentosa)
