on june 6 dos ammended their june visabulletin by adding a new category for nurses (schedule - a) and making it as 'current'. that means, all wait is over for nurses now and gates are re-opened officially on june 6th.

as the regular readers of allnurses.com know, this thread can be connsidered as the continuation of the thread "worst news for rns from india, phili..." (click here to view that thread : https://allnurses.com/forums/showthread.php?t=87149). worst news thread was started when darkness and gloom hit intl. nurse community when dos announced (dec 11 2004) the retrogression for nurse immigration from these 3 countries.
Even if your agency is on the moon or beside the office of NVC in New Hampshire...they would not make a phone call...ok i agree with you that they will inform, notify you as soon as you have your appointment date but these things are done according to their own standard operating procedures, prescribed and in accordance with the U.S. immigration law...No special treatment for schedule A, no V.I.P. treatment for schedule A...

This has nothing to do with my "friends" case she has her I-140 approved last June 2005, waiting for the visa fee bill(hopefuly she will get it this month). Her PD is June 2004 under CSC.

"attacking your emotions" is a strong word. I never had the intention to do that. I am just asking the reason why the change in outlook. So good for you that it has nothing to do with your "friends" case.
Never did say that schedule A will be given a VIP treatment, I just said that NVC will inform, call, notify my agency or whatever you want to call it and it is not tantamount to giving a VIP treatment.

How could one go to the Embassy without an appointment letter and will just tell the security guard that the NVC called him for an interview? There are several post (here, murthy.com, nclex-rn.net, etc, immigrationportal.com, rupnet.net,etc.),first hand information from friends, confirmation from my agency that schedule A cases have been scheduled and interviewed without having their medical first.
Renceri, awori, and others who are reading this forum but are not posting, please post your experience that you were interviewed in the US embassy without appoinment letter or packet 4. That the US embassy, after they went there (July 7), gave them a medical referral (scheduled July 12) and were scheduled to go back to US embassy (July 18) for the another interview. These people do not have an appoinment letter, what they did was they inquired thru NVC and NVC confirmed their interview schedule. The other one was advised by her agency of the interview schedule.
I think "interview first before medical exam" was not the issue Dale and I were "arguing".

My PD is March'04 and case was transfered in last november.

good day mam suzanne, i need some info about my I-140 petition im a nurse here in the philippines & a hospital based in new york petitioned me. My PD is November 2004 and last january 2005 my papers was approved by USCIS vermont center. Last JUNE 2005 i made an e-mail inquiry to NVC to follow up the status of my papers and after few days nvc replied that may petition is already at NVC & they also gave my Case NUmber MNL2005XXXXXX so case is EX chargeability is us embassy manila, they also informed me that the Visa processing fee receipt has been mailed to my petitioner and when it was paid thats the time DS 230 will be given to me by nvc but the visa fee according to NVC is not yet paid by my petitioner. I ask my petitioner, their reply is that they already paid it i think last april or may 2005.do anyone has an idea if what particular most recent PD is being scheduled for Visa interview at us embassy manila today July & august appointment.
