i m international student of nursing in maryland,my covert my visa F2 to F1 ,so i didn't need toefl at that time ,do i need TOEFL exam befor my NCLEX?any information for job?
You still have to undergo an english exam. You can take the english exam after you pass NCLEX but you will need your english exam later for your visa screen since you are still on non-immigrant status.

Hello to everyone! My friend with priority date of june 2003 will surely expect to receive her appointment letter this july "05. According to NVC they have forwarded her documents to Manila. So I guess this is a good news for everyone with a PD June 2003. So for those with PD 2004 most probably we'll receive our appointment letter on august. Let's continue praying.
God Bless to all!
sir, the cases upto 31 dec 2004 (date of file reaching chennai embassyt)may be scheduled in july 2005 and the rest (files reaching embassy in 2005 )in august 2005. maybe files in delhi are less as less nurses are from delhi ,the delhi nurses may well expect their interviews in july 2005 itself COMMENTS DALE

Well the 2003 case should not have been affected by retrogression I presume. Rossario when did your friend get the I-140 approval and when did she get her visa screen certificate? From there I could calculate the dates.
Most of the people I know that were affected by retrogression was not able to pass the English exams required so they were stuck because they cannot present a visa screen certificate at the U.S. consulate.

I have read some posts that cases that are sitting at the NVC are not yet processed/ approved or sent to the consulates. The reason behind this, as they speculated is because the personnel at the NVC does not know that retrogression for Schedule A is lifted already by the Department of State in which the National Visa Center is under the Department of State. I think that they are still formulating guidelines on how to handle these cases..
I think the boss from the DOS and NVC will issue an inter-office memo on the proper procedures on how to handle schedule A cases.

Is there any chance that a Nurse will not fall into SCEDULE A???
The reason for my question is, some states does not required CGFNS visa screen. As per my knowledge CG is a sort of labour certification. So when a nurse is not CGFNS holder on what categogry she will fall into????
Is there any other chance of a Nurse beeing NON SCEDULE A?
Thanks

Hi Dale!
My friend's petition was approved last May 2004, she got her visa screen certificate last february 2004. Her case was completed last November 2004. And now asper NVC, they mailed out her documents to Manila Consulate.
Do you think they now processed according to priority date priority date? When do you think they will send my documents if my PD is August 2004?

It will actually depend on who you are dealing with at the Embassy, as the rule that is in effect is that things can be denied if you do not have the Visa Screen Certificate with you. Letters are actually being sent out in most countries now that you must have the VSC with you at the time of the interview, or you will need to start the process again. This is what is happening now in many countries with nurses that I am in contact with.
This is one of the reasons that I push for the nurse to already have VSC in hand when beginning the process if at all possilbe, otherwise they have to either restart the process or go to the back of the line.
Just keep your fingers crossed when you go in. Please let us know what happens.
