Hey everyone, I didn't see a thread for this yet so I thought I would start one.
Is anyone else applying to BC for Fall 2014/Winter 2015 cohorts? I'm getting nervous with the deadline less than two months away. I did all my pre reqs there and it's my first choice school which probably adds to the nerves a bit. Are any of you finished with the application process yet? I think it's nice that this year, the background check is after the initial application just for the sake of saving money if I didn't score high enough on my TEAS to get in.
Thanks Seattle Jess, and shoreline is a great program from what I have heard! Really though, It's okay if it doesn't trickle down for me, I'm okay with starting in Winter. Just 3 months later then I'd hoped! Like I said I'm just happy to be given the opportunity to go to BC Nursing! :)
Jaycam- what's the title/isbn of the first book? Do tell! :) I wanna be a nerd with you.
I can't get over their accents in Game of Thrones! I feel like I have to strain to understand them! So bad, and I could just turn subtitles on but prefer catching back up with my Grey's Anatomy again. Although that show's all drama there is a bit of medical information you could learn in there! Thanks for sharing your e-mail kkay29! Valuable info! Chie really is great, imagine how many questions she gets about the same things over and over each year! Going to be applying to Everett CC's program by middle of June if I don't hear anything with news on the wait list status. Otherwise, South Seattle also has told me they like my measly 80.1 teas score and to come attend an info session may 20th, but that's the LPN program. ;-/ and im not sure if its nationally accredited? They do have the ladder for lpn-rn but I haven't heard great stuff about their program. Anyone else?
KKerstetter: I am also applying for Fall at Everett. I've already applied. I just need to wait until June to sign up for the immunization account and do the background check. But I have a feeling that with my TEAS score at 79.3% that I will be in the same situation that I am in now with Bellevue. I feel like I have a better shot at getting in for Winter or Spring. But whatever it takes...I'll just keep trying. Have you been to an information session at Everett? If not I suggest you go. Their nursing classes are amazing and they really seem to advocate for their students.
I got in for Winter and I am so excited!!! Congrats to everyone that got in and best wishes for those on the waitlist :) I was trying to pay the deposit today but realized I don't know what my PIN number is or where to find it..anyone have any insights?? I emailed them to find out but wondering if anyone here knows. Thanks!!
SeattleJess: Shoreline is a great program. I currently attend Shoreline and love it, but I have not done the volunteer hours yet so I have not applied. Good luck!
Thanks for the input, kkay. I was very impressed by Shoreline. Wish I could see theskills labthere. Have you? Bellevue will have a spiffy new building in 2015 but our first year there will be in the old classrooms. I wasn't impressed with the skills lab when I took my NAC training there but I did get through it and pass the state certification test so it must be adequate.
