Hey everyone, I didn't see a thread for this yet so I thought I would start one.
Is anyone else applying to BC for Fall 2014/Winter 2015 cohorts? I'm getting nervous with the deadline less than two months away. I did all my pre reqs there and it's my first choice school which probably adds to the nerves a bit. Are any of you finished with the application process yet? I think it's nice that this year, the background check is after the initial application just for the sake of saving money if I didn't score high enough on my TEAS to get in.
I'm number 26 on the wait list. I'll just be hoping somehow I get lucky. I was expecting to be on the wait list but hoping for a lower number...so I'm not shocked but still disappointed. Now I'll be waiting again. It seems like everyone here is planning to accept. If any of you Winter folks get bumped to Fall, or wait list folks get bumped to Winter, please post. I'm really excited for all of you that got in. I can imagine you all greeting each other with your usernames. :)
kare bear, you crack me up! I think the nicknames will stick!
Congrats to everyone else who got good news!! So nice to finally have some answers! For those waitlisted, I still haven't decided, but I'm leaning a little toward Seattle U so that may open up a spot! I'm sure there are others. As much as I want to be in orientation with you all using our nicknames, ya know. :)
I think seattle u would be a better option. Just for the fact that it's hard to even get a position around here without a bachelors. On top of that most hospitals will require you to get our bachelors by your fifth year. Just do two years now and get your BSN instead of two years for an ADN plus a year or two more for a bridge program.
Have been following along with this thread for a while now, but just never thought I had a chance to get in to the program so I never joined in. Seeing other people on winter wait list here just makes me feel like I should let you all know where I'm at so I can update you if I ever get bumped up, fingers crossed all we can do! I'm #19 on wait list for winter quarter, 80.1 Teas score. Also I read on another thread on here from last year that by only June 10th this lady who was #22 wait list for winter was bumped up into winter? Seems like a lot of declines! Wishful thinking on my side!-Kelsey
Congrats, stephmonster, asp, & kelsey! I know those on the wait list or hoping to get bumped will appreciate your research, Kelsey.
UWHuskies, yes, that's what I am realizing. I just became a single mom (with 4 kids) so I'm going to have a financial struggle no matter which way I go but SU could put me in a better position at graduation and eliminates the need for the RN-BSN bridge. Plus I can ride the train to SU (I live an hour south of the cities) and save a lot on transportation costs. And, of course there would be that extra spot at BC for all of you wonderful people.

Just so everyone knows, I'll still be referring to all of you by your nicknames even after we meet in person
