Hello!
Just wanted to start a new topic for the next intake for those applying in Feb 1 2021- March 15 2021 for the Sept 2021 intake at BCIT!

No, they did not inform me yet so I'll have to wait until September to know for sure!

But I’ll be taking my name out of the waitlist since I accepted my offer at UBC so there should be another spot open soon!
If you don't mind me asking, what was your GPA, volunteer experience etc? Since you got into UBC but have been waitlisted for BCIT then got accepted, do you think UBC is less competitive than BCIT?

Hey not at all! On UBC GPA scale I was 3.8, I volunteered at a senior care home for a year but nothing other than was medical related. I got waitlisted for UBC too but at BCIT my number on my list was closer to being accepted so I wouldn’t say BCIT is more competitive. Feel free to DM if you have any other questions! Good luck ?

I see! Thanks for the response! ?
I wish I could DM you but it doesn't allow me to send any messages. One last question, did you have a degree?

Hey there do you know if they’re letting everyone from Jan intake applications be notified of their acceptance or is it just for people who applied to sept that have a seat for Jan ?

If you applied for jan 2022 you will know your final status by october 15. I remember them mentioning this when I was asking about the final status for fall intake. They probably won’t do a non cog since for the last two intakes they haven’t due to high volume of applications. When I got accepted for fall they started going out on may 26-June 15. So you guys should probably find out around sep 29- oct 15 of your final status whether its an offer, no offer, or waitlist top 15 or bottom 15.
Also when I got accepted my application status changed first before I got the my communications letter of acceptance so around that time period make sure your also checking where it says application status. Goodluck!

Just wanted to confirm that I can take 7021 before starting. I noticed 7001 and 7021 are in the course load for the nursing program but on the main BCIT nursing website it says you can take either 7001 and 7002 (no mention of 7021)
I took 7001 and 7021 they said it was fine and meets the requirements. You can ask again to double check but when I asked last year thats what they said.

Thanks! Do you also happen to know if it counts towards the nursing program or would you have to retake the class once you're in the program?
