BCIT Nursing Sept 2021 Intake

Published

Hello!

Just wanted to start a new topic for the next intake for those applying in Feb 1 2021- March 15 2021 for the Sept 2021 intake at BCIT!

Hey guys! Congratulations to all who has been accepted for the 2021 intake! I applied but I haven't received any emails yet so I'm preparing to apply for the next intake. For the January 2022 intake, does anybody know when I can take the Casper test? I took one earlier this year for the September 2021 intake but I was wondering if I need to take another one in order to apply for the next intake. Thanks everyone!

I did my test in January of this year and admissions said that I don't have to redo it for the January intake

I got accepted today as well! The email came at 4:51pm. For those wondering, here are my stats:

- Aggressively average overall GPA (2.7 on a 4.0), but a 3.5 on my recent 30 credits. I already have an honours degree (graduated in 2018) in an unrelated field and I got an A in A&P. So there’s hope for all you average people out there!

- High school math and Chemistry met the minimum requirements

- Good CASPer score. I got waitlisted at UBC so I saw that they gave me a 1 (top 25%) so I’m basing my BCIT interpretation off that

- I’ve been volunteering for the last two years on the DTES at a community health program for street involved male sex workers and have been throughout the entire pandemic

- Previous employment I referenced were the above volunteer experience, my work as a physician recruiter for the last 2 years, and my work in a university residence

I'm excited to meet y'all in September and I hope the rest of you get some good news soon ?

Great happy for you! Good luck and congrats. Did you get fully accepted or conditionally? May I ask?

Conditional. But my conditions are only that I must complete a CRC and provide my immunization records, so I think everyone must get conditional acceptances rather than full.

That’s correct everyone’s is conditional until all the terms of acceptance are completed

How many of us are still left and waiting for an answer? Just so I don’t feel alone

and congratulations to everyone else!

Oh OK you guys are right.

I’m still waiting.. I’m not sure if all 64 acceptances are sent out or not

Got accepted today.

Applied with a degree in Psychology from SFU. Had additional credits totaling about 180 post secondary credits with a GPA of about 3.3x on a 4.33 scale.

Been working as a paramedic for over 3 years. Been a first responder and event medicine volunteer since 2010. Been a volunteer with Scouts Canada since 2014.

No idea how I did on Casper at all.

I’m still waiting as well! I applied Feb 1 so it’s been really frustrating seeing “pending department review” for soooo long
