BCIT Nursing Sept 2021 Intake

Published

Hello!

Just wanted to start a new topic for the next intake for those applying in Feb 1 2021- March 15 2021 for the Sept 2021 intake at BCIT!

I hope we still have space for more people and we get our acceptances tomorrow ?

How many of us are still left and waiting for an answer? Just so I don’t feel alone

and congratulations to everyone else!

I’m still waiting too. Hopefully we hear soon!

What I'm gathering is that most people that have been accepted have degrees already. Does anyone know if it's common for them to accept students that have less credits? Like sub 50 credits?

I'll be honest with you, it is pretty unlikely they will accept students without a degree this year. BCIT has always favoured those with extra credits and/or existing post-secondary accreditation. They rank applicants on a point scale, and the most points are awarded to degree holders. It's still possible to be accepted but very unlikely in this application cycle due to how competitive nursing schools have become. Keep your hopes high though, if you haven't been rejected yet, there is still a chance.

Hey all I was also accepted today! Will be declining my offer so a spot will free up, good luck ?

I got accepted and I applied with 51 credits! I was taking classes in Winter sem but those credits wouldn’t be counted because they were in progress. don't lose hope!

Thank you!

I did the healthcare assistant program and worked as a care aide in LTC and home support for about a year n half. I also worked with bccdc on the covid results line and bccdc research projects with studies done in jails and bonnie henry covid related research. I now do pcr covid tests at the airport for international travellers arriving in canada. My credits are from pre reqs and the hca program! My cgpa was probably around 3.81 for pre reqs and for hca was 4.0. It was a really easy program to do well in!
