  1. FYI - Assuming you don't get offered admission (I hope you get an offer!), being waitlisted for September 2021 does *not* guarantee you a spot for January 2022. They will just automatically transfer your application to the January 2022 pool of applicants to be considered with the next batch of people rather than making you reapply.
  2. Conditional. But my conditions are only that I must complete a CRC and provide my immunization records, so I think everyone must get conditional acceptances rather than full.
  3. I got accepted today as well! The email came at 4:51pm. For those wondering, here are my stats: - Aggressively average overall GPA (2.7 on a 4.0), but a 3.5 on my recent 30 credits. I already have an honours degree (graduated in 2018) in an unrelated field and I got an A in A&P. So there’s hope for all you average people out there! - High school math and Chemistry met the minimum requirements - Good CASPer score. I got waitlisted at UBC so I saw that they gave me a 1 (top 25%) so I’m basing my BCIT interpretation off that - I’ve been volunteering for the last two years on the DTES at a community health program for street involved male sex workers and have been throughout the entire pandemic - Previous employment I referenced were the above volunteer experience, my work as a physician recruiter for the last 2 years, and my work in a university residence I'm excited to meet y'all in September and I hope the rest of you get some good news soon ?
  4. It's on the letter they attached to the email that says you're waitlisted. 1 = in top 25%, 2 = in top 50%, 3 = in top 75%, and 4 in lowest 25%.
  5. I'm also on the waitlist club but waaaaaay down the line. I got 1 for CASPer, 2 for supplemental, and 3 for grades.
  6. Last year, they found out on May 1 (a Friday) so my guess is that we'll hear Friday, April 30 or Friday, May 7.
  7. I got into September 2021 for the Advanced Entry program. I received my offer in January.
  8. Congratulations on your acceptance! My choices are 1) BCIT, 2) UBC, and then 3) KPU. I want as much clinical hours as possible and I think I want to work in the ER so I like how you get to take the specialty courses at BCIT.
  9. PSA - it can take up to 30 days to obtain your immunization records. I know BCIT shortlist notifications haven't even gone out yet, but I got into KPU and I'm in the process of obtaining all of my vaccine records. My family doctor only had some of them and the rest of mine were located in my health authority's Public Health Unit (I have no idea why). I had to fill out a formal release of information request and it said it could take up to 30 days for me to get the information. Just thought I'd share because BCIT is going to need them too if we get in and I imagine we'll need to get our supplementary documents in quickly if we're not hearing anything until May/June. Hoping to save some people some stress ?
  10. I'm not sure what they define as "competitive" but I got admitted with an overall GPA of 2.7 from my previous degree. They do not take any work experience into account (they don't even ask for it). Admission is only based off of the prerequisites. Hope that helps!
  11. Question for any current BCIT students: because of COVID, I know a lot of lectures are now online. Does anyone know which of the Term 1 or Term 2 courses were delivered online and which were in-person? I'm trying to gage what next year might look like if I get in. Thanks!
  12. Mine says "your application is currently being reviewed by the Faculty/School. This can take some time and we thank you for your patience. We will provide you with an update as soon as we can. You can continue to check the status of your application here on the Student Service Centre."
  13. I got accepted into the September 2021 Advanced Entry cohort! Anyone else joining me and do any previous students have any insight?
