Hello!
Just wanted to start a new topic for the next intake for those applying in Feb 1 2021- March 15 2021 for the Sept 2021 intake at BCIT!

I'm filling out the applicant questionnaire and having a hard time with formatting. Is there a word limit for each section? It seems so limited!
Any help is much appreciated!
There's no word limit, it just automatically cuts you off when you edit it. All text written must be within the boxes, you cannot expand the box.

It took a day for me to receive a message that my application was received. The status of my application hasn't changed yet though and I submitted it on Feb.16

I received a message approximately 2-3 hours after I applied confirming that they've received my application!

Hmm.. mine still hasn't updated to received. I'm wondering if it's because I submitted on late Friday afternoon, and the admissions officer hasn't gotten to it yet? Did you just go to Student Self Service & then myCommunication to see the update?
Thanks!

That could be a possibility! I received an email saying I had a message in myCommunication and it was there I saw my application had been received. If you're worried, I would send an email just to make sure but hopefully you're fine
Thank you for your answer @axsangha!
Does anyone here know if we should include reference letters? I know that they are not mandatory, but I am thinking that they can be uploaded as a "supporting document." However, I heard from someone that BCIT admissions committee does not look at reference letters at all. Did anyone hear anything similar?

From last info session, they said they’ll take a look if you upload it but they don’t encourage everyone to include it because it is not possible to go through reference letters if each and every person includes one

I selected forms but I don't think it matters that much.
