BCIT Nursing Sept 2021 Intake

Published

Hello!

Just wanted to start a new topic for the next intake for those applying in Feb 1 2021- March 15 2021 for the Sept 2021 intake at BCIT!

I was wondering if anyone contacted admissions to ask if there was an exact deadline by when the shortlisted emails would go out?

Has anyone transferred their LIBS courses from other institutions? I looked into trying to transfer them on the BCIT website, but it says that you have to be registered for either a PT or FT program in order to submit a transfer credit request. I'm not registered in anything but would like to know if my previous courses can transfer over so I can start taking the LIBS courses if needed.

I sent an email over a month ago asking about this but they never replied LOL. I just sent another email so I'll let you know if they respond!

OMG tell me about it. IDK why but I still refresh my application status everyday for both bcit and ubc even though we're not going to hear back from them soon yet I still get a heart attack thinking who knows maybe it will get updated LOL

Wow they replied to me so fast this time ? This is what they said:

"You will be contacted to do the Non-cognitive online quiz by the 4th week of May if you are shortlisted.

You will be notified of the final decision in June. Please wait patiently.

Thanks for your understanding."

That feels like an eternity away! At least we will hear from UBC at the beginning of May.

Right! I'm hoping since it says by the fourth week of May that would be the latest we'd find out (I.e. it's possible to find out earlier??)

I wonder if that will make the application process less competitive since some applicants will get into UBC and probably won't even take the non-cognitive questionnaire (ofc if they prefer to go to UBC)...

yeah I think it's possible! do you have a preference between UBC or BCIT? I'm honestly so nervous to hear back, time has gone by faster than I thought

That is an interesting perspective that I didn't consider ? I haven't fully researched UBC/Douglas/KPU/etc nursing programs yet, so I'm curious to know which of the two you think is more competitive and which is preferred more by applicants, both in general?
