Hello everyone!
Now that the 2018 January applications are open, I thought that a thread should be started about it.
To those that are wondering, I'm applying with:
A&P 1 - A-
A&P 2 - A-
Psychology - A-
English - A-
Physics (elective 1) - A-
Philosophy (elective 2) - B
So, overall I'm applying with a 3.55 GPA. I have no previous degree, or relevant work experience. However, I do have relevant volunteer experiences.
I'm so nervous about my chances getting in. How are you guys feeling? What are your grades like?
Good luck to us all! :)
I'm feeling i won't be short listed. I used to go to another institution before, like a couple years ago and my grades there were barely passing. My grades are great at my new institution where I've been for 2 years, however i still have a poor transcript from the other institution so i feel i won't get short listed because of that. But still that little amount of hope in me :)
Hi Twinkyswirl, I am surprised there wasn't more! Heard other intakes, there were over 500? Maybe it increases our chances then? :) Are you already in the Program? Did you apply to January or April?
I emailed an advisor to see how many applicants they have for the January 2018 intake, and they said they received 300+ applications.

I think it's because some people applied to the April intake. I'm not in the program, but I've applied to the January intake.

Good luck! Fingers crossed , I remember you started this post and shared your concerns... I am insecure too, but I think that at least, after our applications are reviewed, if they are not strong enough, we'll know what to expect for next time. So let's not lose hope :)

Yes. Fingers crossed for all of us! I've applied to Langara as a second choice, and I got accepted, but my goal would be to get acceptance from BCIT. Have you applied to any other schools? :)
