BCIT January 2018 Intake

Hello everyone!

Now that the 2018 January applications are open, I thought that a thread should be started about it.

To those that are wondering, I'm applying with:

A&P 1 - A-

A&P 2 - A-

Psychology - A-

English - A-

Physics (elective 1) - A-

Philosophy (elective 2) - B

So, overall I'm applying with a 3.55 GPA. I have no previous degree, or relevant work experience. However, I do have relevant volunteer experiences.

I'm so nervous about my chances getting in. How are you guys feeling? What are your grades like?

You will likely get notified in the last week of sept. I would wait till around 20th and then start thinking about it more. This is my second time applying and I remember checking my email 20-30 times a day. I'm trying not to do that till the 20th now. That's when everyone started to get notifications last time I applied.

I just got a notification today that I've made it to round two.

Which doesn't mean much except for that my application has been reviewed and I am assuming I don't need to submit any additional documents.

I'll be checking my BCIT email and 'mycommunications' on the daily!

'Pending Department Review' at the moment.

Oh definitely not. That information will come out close to the end of September.

Did you recently apply? It should eventually change to "Pending Department Review" after a couple of days.

I applied Aug 23.. So I'm a little nervous, maybe I'll give them a call tomorrow

They did notify me and said that my application made step 1, but it doesn't say pending department review

They could still be processing your application (confirming your transcripts, and documents). But yeah, better to call and be safe than do nothing.

My application is now "pending department review :) hopefully i make it to the next step! how is everyone else doing
