Hello eveyone is there anyone that attends Barry Universities Basic option nursing school in the fall. Can you please tell me how its like, the teachers, the experiences.

i just find out yesterday on my email a letter saying that i wanted to call them but they close today. can you send me the email what did u want me to send u a pm don't know what it is sorry:loveya::loveya: dont know ??? wh do i contact iam lost sorry

I got a letter saying the same thing. What does that mean exactly, they don't really tell you what to do next except to give in a deposit of $225. HELP! :sniff:

I know I got the same as you lost does not said what we have to do next.I try to call they close till monday.I think it menas we are accepted for accelerated program. I read there are some classes like biomedical ethics and religion that I dont have so I am not sure if we have to take them before start or during the program iam so confuse Cary was explaining me I am waiting she answer me to know what to do same as you I am ;)very lost

it says that we have to pay tuition deposit to reserve your spot for january $ 225.I does not say what specifically we have to do next. I am confuse too this is going to be a long process. We probably we will be receiving a letter next week with all information I think since we got the email yesterday :)

I hope so, I heard the accel. program is rough but a good one, teachers are great from what i hear.

most of my friends who graduated from the Accelerated program took it before the program started. The accelerated program IS rough. so rough, its hard to balance even a part time job for it

I cannot tell you for sure if you could take the Bio-Medical Ethics and Religions during the program..hopefully you can. A PM is a private message.

And I checked the acceptance letter for the basic program that I received in the summer and it says:

"Congratulations and welcome to Barry University Division on Nursing. You have been accepted to the nursing program and may progress to nursing courses in fall 2010, pending your meeting requirements..."

There's a lot of things you have to get done before starting the program, such as : physicals, CPR, speak with financial aid, pay the $225 deposit, send your final transcripts, etc.

Did you both apply for the Nursing Program or pre nursing? If you applied to the nursing program, you have to go through a process where Barry has to accept you to the school in general, and then once you're accepted, they put you into a pool of students that applied around the same time you did, then they decide if you are accepted to the nursing program. Did you both get two letters?..one saying you got accepted to Barry and another saying what I posted above from my letter?

At the bottom of the letter you should have also been provided with a telephone number to make an appt with the advisor. I will send you both this information in a private message.

I haven't taken Bio or theology yet. Because I don't really know what's going one yet. I'm going to call today to see what I have to do next. But if you're in the acc. program you HAVE to take them before you actually start nursing school. Since the acc. program is harder Barry wants the students to get it out of the way first. :eek:

That is what I did. I am starting in January and this Fall semester I finished the Bio-Med, Theology and the Upper Level Humanities that were required. According to my schedule however there is room for 6 credits to be taken during the first semester of the accelerated. I would recommend you call the Division of Nursing at Barry to see exactly what program it is that you were accepted into.
