  1. No problem, i be sure to let you know how everything goes.
  2. No, this was my sisters book from her nursing program. Its been helping me alot.
  3. I have been using this book called math and meds:dosages and solutions by anna m. curren. when nursing school starts always use nclex practice books to study for all the subjects, it will help plenty.
  4. Hello I am currently a student at FAU transferring to Barry University for nursing school. FAU is very competitive. The lowest GPA is 3.5, and you also have to take the HESI entrance test. I took it and got 80s and below. You should get 90s and above.Fau's nclex pass rate is not as high. I recommend Barry, its the same price as UM and the nclex pass rate is high. Plus UM was almost at risk of losing thier accredidation.
  5. Its taken after the med calc class and you can retake it twice. If you have spare time order a book on med calc for nurses and start studying.
  6. Hey monica ill probably will be seeing you because im taking all these classes also in the fall, but i start the nursing program in the fall.
  7. My friend was accepted for the acc 2009, she said the first semester was easy, but the summer is kicking her butt.
  8. SI is Supplemental Insrtuctions, its basically there to help with patho. Most other schools dont have that or med calc. And also start reading up on medication calculations. Every school has a test which you will have to pass a 10 question test with a 90%, that means only one wrong. Just thought everyone should know.
  9. Ok it looks like this Medication calulations-monday 10-12 tuesday- pathophysiology-9-12 health assessment- 12-4 Path SI wednesday-health ass lab-9-12 thursday-intro to nursing- 10-12 Saturday- Bio-med ehthics- 9-1 I had to go to the counselor about and she chose my schdule, make sur you make it early.
  10. Dont worry, from 12 to 18 credits, the price of tuition is the same. For example, if you are taking 12 credits you will pay the same as some one who is taking 16 or 18 credits. If more than 18 youll pay extra.
  11. I dont know if its united health care. For me the loans did not cover the books or supplies. If your EFC is 0 you should be able to get some type of loan and grants.
  12. No i do not have bright futures, but i think it covers a little bit of the tuition. The health insurance is 995 dollars for the whole year.
  13. I got very lucky because they just strated the entrance test for fall 2010. Even loans did not cover everything, i still owe 500 dollars because of the health insurance.
  14. Carygt3 i got grants, a Barry scholarship which everyone recieves dependeing on your gpa, and ALOT of loans. I have about a 3.3 and got a 7,000 dollar scholarship. jmi0886, people always drop out at the last minute, just keep in touch with terre. If any thing you could do the accelerated program or wait fall 2010. And for any one going in 2010 there is an entrance test now.
  15. So far i dont think theres anywhere else that offers Bio other than Barry. They also ask for health insurance, if you have your own you can use that, if not you can also purchase it from the school.
