Barry CRNA Starting 2017

Published

Just thought I'd start a thread for all of us applying! I'm planning on completing my application pretty soon. Taking the CCRN this week, and then I'll be ready to go! :o How are you all faring?

Also, does anyone know anything about the Tampa campus? I'm going to try and go for that one.

For those accepted, did you get an email, call, letter?

I have been checking my email like every ten minutes all day...haha. Since it's almost close of business time in Florida, I'm assuming we won't find out today...

Same here.

Hi ArmyTwinRN

I was told that during the interview they give you a chemistry test...is that accurate? Did you have to take a test? If so was it challenging?

Thanks

It's a CCRN/chem style "assessment", it apparently has no bearing on admission status. It wasn't exactly hard, just similar to the GRE in the sense that if you haven't used it, you lose it.

The test was mix clinical and chemistry. It is mandatory and I thought the chemistry questions were very challenging but the test has no barring on the admissions process

Thanks to clarify kbl7td😊

Thank you for clarifyingí ½í± Ccipencil. Beside the test How was the interview? Was it more about getting to know you or more about testing your clinical judgment?

See previous comments...this question has been addressed ad nauseam.

The interview as short with very little questions, they asked me why I choose Tampa as my site and why I have an Econ degree and a nursing degree. No clinical questions and nothing in depth.

Hi guys I'm just wondering if anyone has recieved an interview date ? My application was finalized and sent for review on 04/19 but I haven't heard anything yet ? I have two years of ICU experience total 1 year in respiratory ICU and 1 year in CVICU. My gpa is 3.96 , CCRN,TNCC, PALS, ACLS but my Gre score is low I have 287 total and 3.5 on the writing portion. I'm debating if I should retake it or not? I would appreciate any feedback. Thanks

Don't fret because my app was sent for review about three weeks ago and I still haven't heard anything yet either. I called twice and they tell me the same thing every time so I stopped calling. Normally I would say to retake the GRE, but your gpa is really high so I wouldn't even worry about it; I believe they base it more on percentile score anyways.
