Hi everyone! Just wanted to start a thread for those applying to the CRNA program at Barry University starting January 2016! Comments, Questions, Concerns, Advice...

Also, is anyone in Miami interested in starting a GRE study group?

Thank you so much for responding, I will email them and let them know. I thought it would be too late since there is so many applicants. The admission department told me 350 applicants applied last year. Thats alot more applicants than up here in NY schools, but then again they take double the students. Its nice to have this thread and see other people going through the application process. Thanks again!

FAU2013, I talked to them late last week and they said that they were still in the process of reviewing my file and transcripts. i'm hoping to hear something this week... I'm sure that this is crunch time for them with so many applications coming in. I will keep the group posted.

My application and supporting documents are in at Barry, now the waiting game begins. They said there is an interview this Saturday, but after that they do not have a set schedule for further interviews yet.

No, I'm not sure how many were accepted. It was back with their first round in March; there were about 30 candidates at the interviews. I'll be at S.Fla.

I have a question for everyone applying at Barry for the anesthesiology program. For the documentation of your understanding of the nurse anesthesia profession, did you all include the name and contact information of the CRNA that you shadowed? Thanks a bunch!

I didn't, I just mentioned the different settings i've shadowed in and how it confirmed my decision to become a CRNA.

They emailed a form for the CRNA I shadowed to fill out. That is strange.
