I JUST GOT ACCEPTED TO BAPTIST AND WILL BE STARTING THIS FALL. I AM SO EXCITED. I WAS WANTING TO KNOW IF ANYONE COULD TELL ME WHAT TO EXPECT AT ORIENTATION AND ABOUT THEIR EXPERIENCES AT THE SCHOOL.

I'm taking A&P2 lecture and lab on Saturday, unfortunately the lab directly after the lecture was full and I was going to have a three hour break and be on campus from 8-4 every Saturday. Ugh. So I've been checking the course every hour and finally someone today dropped the earlier lab so I'll only have a 45 minute break. Yay!!

I am also incredibly happy that the semester is over. This was my third trimester and the most difficult one yet. I studied hard all semester and just kind of fizzled out the last two weeks. I will be taking the next couple of weeks to regroup as I begin clinicals in January.

I just took my last final today!! 3 weeks of break! I start clinicls next month, I cant wait.:yeah:

I start clinicals next month also, maybe I'll see you in Foundations or Pharmacology. Good luck. :zzzzzRelax while you can.:zzzzz

Oh my, I am loving my grades!! How did everyone else do??

Got all A's luckily, time to start the app. process for a scholarship.

Hi LadyBug77. I did okay not as well as I would have liked but I did get 2 As and 2 Bs. I just kind of got burned out at the end. I would have had to make almost perfect scores on the two finals of the classes that I got Bs in but I am thankful. I am also excited to start my first clinical rotation in January but not excited that I have to tack on a gen. ed class. This semester was hard for me but I should have divided my time more wisely. I generally work only on weekends and I now have two teenagers as my youngest just turned 13 and my oldest is 14. I am so happy you did great. Keep it up girl!!!!!

Oh yea! I almost forgot! I would like to know about the different curriculum plans. Which is better day or evening weekend curriculum? Thanks so much!

Hey guys and girls!

I'm about to make a hard decicions: transfering out of Baptist Nursing program.

I was given the answer I thought I would on transitioning while in NS: No. So i'm looking to transfer to the U of M, and probably start my clinicals a semester later than I was scheduled to take them. I'll continue to stay at Baptist to pull up my grades and get as much of my gen ed coursework out of the way. I know some of it won't transfer over to the U of M, but this is a decision I have to make to ensure my happiness.

I've enjoyed being a Baptist student, but it's not the place for me.

I wish you all the best in your endeavors at Baptist and the brightest futures!

Hey Shandra,

When it comes to degrees... I always say push for the BSN.. Baptist, there is no waiting list, but clinicals dont start right away.. I would say the best thing for you to do is to call Chris Cotton. He can answer any of your questions. He made me feel comfortable about Baptist, I love it so far..
