Hello,
I have an interview for banners new grad experience. I was wondering if anyone has gone through this, what the interview process is like, was there more than 1 interview. How soon did you hear back. What was the program like.. and any tips for the interview! So pretty much any and all information that you might have!
Thank you, your time is greatly appreciated!
They're always hiring new grads but there are always so many applicants to get through. That's what my recruiter told me anyway. They start new grads every Monday! It was so tough to find new grad positions and to even get an interview was awful but I'm really loving Banner right now. My unit is great and I feel very supported by everyone.
West valley has a TON of mental health she needs to place. When I talked to her the other day she said she's going to try to place those asap. But, she's always getting an updated list. My friend was offered about 2 weeks ago mental health or PCU for west valley. What unit are you wanting to get into?
limited space for both east and west valley? I hope they call you back! They hire new grads often from what I hear so they should have space I would think. Bex3, did your friend get contacted by west valley? During the career fair that was held at del webb, I even spoke to a behavioral health manager and he said he would be in contact and I never heard back. I'm going to contact him next week. I am really open to any unit at this point. Question: Do you get to pick days you want to work or do they schedule the days for you? Thanks so much!
My friend was offered the positions before she left her interview, but declined the mental health and PCU position. She found a job outside of banner that she decided to go with.
I've been staying in touch with the recruiter. She said last week she was overwhelmed with how many mental health openinging she had for the west valley and that she needed to place those, that because many people do not prefer mental health that she needed to focus on those...
So if your wanting that, definitely tell her in the beginning of your interview. And, if your wanting a medsurg or PCU let her know so she can focus on those openings for you. Everyone I know who has been placed at Banner is medsurg or PCU. Those seem to be the big ones that have openings for.

thank you so much for your reply.
That is good to hear, I was worried that they would only offer East valley positions. I wonder what west valley's hold up is. I even attended two banner careers fairs and haven't heard anything yet. A few of my classmates got hired last month, seems like they are on a freeze or maybe too many applicants to go through? It's tough for us new grads out here. Congratulations to you! How are you liking it?
