U.S.A. Arizona

Hello,

I have an interview for banners new grad experience. I was wondering if anyone has gone through this, what the interview process is like, was there more than 1 interview. How soon did you hear back. What was the program like.. and any tips for the interview! So pretty much any and all information that you might have!

Thank you, your time is greatly appreciated!

Sweeet! When does your orientation start?

Mid-September! That gives me plenty of time to relax more before my career finally begins! :)

Do you have to sign a contract? If so, for how long?

No, there's no contract

@rachaelofcourse Wow I'm surprised! Are you in the program now?

@rachaelofcourse I pm'd you

I have one for 12 months. If I switch floors for whatever reason within those 12 months my 12 months starts over.

Ok great good to know!

Yeah the person I was emailing prior to my interview was a man as well and I expected to meet with him when I arrived. There was some confusion at first because I wasn't informed I was meeting with anyone else but we figured it out! The man that emailed me specifically told me to prepare for behavior style questions but I'm sure they have a bunch of different ones to pick from.

Ok great, thanks for all your advice and what not, I really appreciate it!

They didn't make me sign a contract, just my offer letter. That's weird. I was told I could go to a core staff position after 6 months, and if I wanted a different facility I would have to wait 12 months.

I work with a few new grads. The way they explained it to me is: you are hired through Banner staffing services. Which means you can technically be floated to different floors in a way.

You get assigned a home unit for your first 6 months so that you can orient and get a little comfortable with yourself. Then after 6 months, if your unit is staffed enough but another unit within your service line is understaffed, they can move you to that unit for a minimum of a 12 week assignment. Some units are never iverstaffed and you would probably never be moved. While other units do overstaff and you may be moved.

Hope that makes sense.
