U.S.A. Arizona

Hello,

I have an interview for banners new grad experience. I was wondering if anyone has gone through this, what the interview process is like, was there more than 1 interview. How soon did you hear back. What was the program like.. and any tips for the interview! So pretty much any and all information that you might have!

Thank you, your time is greatly appreciated!

It's a med-surg unit which is perfect for me! :) I am so happy and excited to have this amazing opportunity and I know you'll do so great at your interview!

What were your interview questions? I'm so happy for you!!

Did they mention what units are available?

Thank you so much! I was asked exactly what hazel30 was asked! Every question was behavior-based. The only other question I can add to what she was asked is "describe a time where there was a big change in your workplace and how you adjusted to it". She said they have mainly med-surg and PCU positions available right now! She started the interview by explaining how the new graduate program works and then went into questions which helped me calm my nerves.

@bsnrngirl1 That is so great! Which hospital are you at? Did you get to pick that too?

Also you have been sending me private messages, not sure if you knew that, and I replied with my email:)

I'll be at Banner Desert! I did get to choose which hospital I wanted and which shift, it was wonderful. They only have certain positions and shifts available though so I got to choose based on my interests and what they had! í ½í¸Š Yeah whenever I try to send a PM it tells me that PM is reserved for people who have actively participated on the site and gives me no indication that my PM has sent! í ½í¹„

Any chance they had any OB available?!

She said the positions they had available were med-surg and PCU mainly, but there's definitely a possibility if you show you're passionate about it! I didn't express an interest so she didn't go into detail about it specifically.

Any of your classmates get an interview for this program?

A few did, yes! We got lucky for sure. I'm not sure where they're going yet.

What's the starting pay for banner new grads?

27.24 + 18% shift differential
