Hey all,
I know this is probably a stab in the dark, but thought I'd try. Any other Banner Fellows on here who have had to deal with Financial Aid? Gateway is telling me that for Block III, which starts in July for our cohort (X) we won't get our aid until SEPTEMBER since it's considered an early fall class. I don't know what I'm going to do! Anyone else dealt with this?
Thanks!
Thanks for the info.. I keep checking my mailbox with my nerves going wild. I have a B.A.E., but I thing that MCC is referring to Mesa CC, and that's too far for me...but in reality, I would go to any location if I HAD to in order to be accepted! LOL
I am hoping, hoping, hoping I made it............
I went to the BNFP information session today and the facilitator said that they mailed letters out today. She told everyone that they mail all the letters at the same time, so as to not cause any confusion. She also explained that they still have openings for MCC for those with the bachelors and they had some openings for the October cohort at Estrella. Hope this helps! Good luck! :)
I have a question for those of your who have already applied and interviewed with Banner....the facilitator at the info session today said they use a "point" scale based on your GPA, essay questions and your NET scores. Kind of personal, but if anyone could give me a general idea of what kind of GPA/Net scores are getting you in the door for the NFP, it would be much appreciated!
I got my letter today too! When I got rejected the first time I received a standard, business-like envelope with a letter. This time I got a large, thick envelope, so I was pretty sure that I got in, and sure enough I did. I am sooo very excited! Congrats to IwannabeaRNAZ! Good luck to everyone else. :)

I spoke with someone from the Banner program this morning and they said that they were mailing out notification letters shortly, as the legal forms are due by the end of August. I had originally chosen the Gateway cohort, but she informed me of a new one starting in October at MCC for students who already have a Bachelor's Degree. I decided to go for that one as it is closer to my house. Is anyone else out there in this new cohort? So now with another location open they should accept more students! Good luck to everyone! The wait should be almost over!!
