Banner Fellows October cohorts

Hey all,

I know this is probably a stab in the dark, but thought I'd try. Any other Banner Fellows on here who have had to deal with Financial Aid? Gateway is telling me that for Block III, which starts in July for our cohort (X) we won't get our aid until SEPTEMBER since it's considered an early fall class. I don't know what I'm going to do! Anyone else dealt with this?

It sounds like people who applied for the October '08 cohort have been receiving their acceptance/rejection letters. I haven't heard anything yet... Is anyone else still waiting to hear? If not, does anyone know who I should contact? Thanks and good luck to everyone!!

I believe that this last Friday (15th) is when the letters were mailed out, so I would probably wait a week before emailing anyone. The email address that I found is: [email protected]

I also am in the Estrella cohort for October - it's so exciting!! I had convinced myself that I was not going to get in because the wait was so long (I interviewed in June). I cannot wait to get started and to meet everybody else in that cohort...

So sorry for those who did not get in but do not give up! I have had my pre-req's done for over 2 years now so it eventually comes about one way or another.

Do you know if we start classes the week after orientation or the same week?

I don't know but can't wait to find out. I would love to know what the schedule altogether is going to be so I can start planning around it - do you have any idea?

All I know from a friend who is almost finished with the Gateway program through Banner is they go Monday through Thursday. I don't know much more than that! Sorry!

If you hear anything please post and I will do the same!

Has anyone been accepted to Estrella? I received my letter Saturday and will be at the October cohort at Estrella. I am also wondering if school starts the same week as orientation or the following week.

I will be in the Oct. cohort as Estrella. I believe orientation is on the 22nd of October. That is all that I know. I am wondering what our schedule will be like.... I would like to plan and prepare ahead of time.... Do you have any info?
