I recently took the NCLEX and after 180 questions it cut off. I was sure I failed so I looked on this forum to get some info. That's when I read about the PVT so I tried it and YES I did it right. I put in an expired card and got the bad pop up. Naturally I got upset and felt like it was confirmation that I failed. Still, I praised and thanked God and felt peace that it was part of His plan. Well, I did the quick results and it said PASS! I owe it to God, but I also don't think the trick always works. Just thought I would share my story. God bless!
Not necessarily, your exam is graded twice. It might mean that the computer graded it as a pass but when the staff member at Pearson graded it twice and removed the pilot questions, it usually indicates a fail after 24 hours if you received the bad pop-up, but it is rare for that to happen. Registration/PVT still works if you put in a different expiry
Not if the do a random validity check of the card similar to what gas stations do when you fill your tank. But an invalid expiration date will NOT always prevent a charge from going through online at PV or any other website. If you attempt too many times you can lock out both your credit card/debit card and your PV account. The more times you attempt the more likely your card will get a test/validity check which will just not give you the pop up you seek.
The most common reason for false positives/negatives: impatience (trying too soon after your exam and not giving the system a chance to process, evaluate and QC your results) and incessantly attempting the "trick" (the ones who reported this not only tried the tests right away but dozens if not hundreds of times due to pure impatience)
I did it 6 hours after not 6pm
I meant 5 hrs 30 minutes but it happened that your test wasn't QC'd until 8 or 10 or 23 hours after you finished your PVT result is not accurate. That's why the recommendation if you insist on trying the trick to wait 24 hours post test since all result QC are completed by the 24 hour mark. It may be sooner hence how some people have licensed posted 6 or 8 hours post test but it's up to 24 hours post test

Only if they 1. tried the test before the second QC score or 2. Tried the test too soon and misinterpreted the message
