Average KAPLAN scores and passed NCLEX

I just want to post this for the people who were in my position. I have never had so much anxiety before. When i did Kaplan i felt they have very good strategies. But I was very scared because I did not get really good scores.

My diagnotic test was a 58% and the Kaplan people said it should be around 65. My question trainers were very bad.

QT1 49%

QT2 48%

QT3 49%

QT4 49%

QT5 52%

QT6 54%

QT7 58%

Never got to that 65%

My q bank average was 55%

I just want to tell those people who feel like they aren't doing good enough that its ok. Just keep doing question read every rationale and even why the answer is wrong! This helped me out much better than just reading or watching the videos.

If you took the Kaplan class i suggest you also watch the videos of the questions because the video told me info that the kaplan teacher forgot to mention.

Do all the Qbanks and go over all the rationales. I though I was going to fail, my test stopped at 75. So I thought "yep I failed!" I did not have that much confidence. So please I hope this gives some of you a peace of mind that you can do it. Oh and just in case your wondering Kaplan was the only review course I took.

Good luck to everyone and I hope you all pass.

Thank you for listening!

I'm getting around 60-66% on my qbank questions this week so far and am making myself crazy over this exam. It's good to see that there is some realistic hope that I will pass Monday:)

Ruiz, did you pass? My scores are similar.

Hello Everyone:

Should I be looking at my overall scores or should I worry about the sub-scores. My overall scores are 50% to 60% but when I look at the sub-scores I have 35% (in physiologic) to 85%. What should I be focused on? I am going to study any score lower than a 60%, but am worried if I cant bring those sub-scores up I will not be prepared enough to take the NCLEX. Any advice anyone???

Hi how are your scores in nclex? What materials did you use.l my exam is in 3 weeks time and my anxiety level its oits peak.. Cnt even study no more soo pre occupied with the exam....

I Studied the Kaplan qbanks for 3 weeks and my scores kept going all over the place. In the end, my overall qbank score was 50%. I calculated my qbank score for my last week of studying and got 55%. That's not too bad since I started off in the 30's and 40's. Once in a while I would do some Saunders questions, but mostly just did Kaplan qbanks and Kaplan Videos. Good Luck to you. :)

I did Kaplan and averaged high 50s on q banks, low 60s on q trainers.

Took my NCLEX RN 9/7/12 and got good pop up!

WOOHOO.

Good luck, Caffeine

Congrats Caffeine!!!

student? have you taken nclex yet? mine will be oct2. and my scores are only on 50% - i am way too anxious for this exam... i hope i can have a good pop up!
