  1. I felt like i forgot things too, its just that you are scared. My biggest advice is to take the day before the test off. I went and watched "get smart" so that I could take my mind off things. I did not do the qbanks over, I always choose the "unused" option but I wrote notes from the rationales and had made a study packet out of that. Then I went over my study packet and looked in the RN book to compare, and to see if I should add anything. I felt like kaplan was right on the money with the NCLEX they were so similar. I did hate those SATA I got like 10 of them. And I am NOT good at those. Just take a deep breathe and read each answer read the question again and select. Those are so hard!! Good luck Gdschild, I hope this helps. And please tell us when you passed! Oh yeah I also wanted to change my date as well because of my scores but my friend talked me into it and im glad she did!
  2. good luck peds, I hope you make a post telling us when you passed! :)
  3. I just want to post this for the people who were in my position. I have never had so much anxiety before. When i did Kaplan i felt they have very good strategies. But I was very scared because I did not get really good scores. My diagnotic test was a 58% and the Kaplan people said it should be around 65. My question trainers were very bad. QT1 49% QT2 48% QT3 49% QT4 49% QT5 52% QT6 54% QT7 58% Never got to that 65% My q bank average was 55% I just want to tell those people who feel like they aren't doing good enough that its ok. Just keep doing question read every rationale and even why the answer is wrong! This helped me out much better than just reading or watching the videos. If you took the Kaplan class i suggest you also watch the videos of the questions because the video told me info that the kaplan teacher forgot to mention. Do all the Qbanks and go over all the rationales. I though I was going to fail, my test stopped at 75. So I thought "yep I failed!" I did not have that much confidence. So please I hope this gives some of you a peace of mind that you can do it. Oh and just in case your wondering Kaplan was the only review course I took. Good luck to everyone and I hope you all pass. Thank you for listening! Johana Ruiz, RN

  5. hello everyone i have a question in the future i would like to continue studying after i have my bs, but if i want to continue studying, lets say to get my masters can nurses work part time and how is part time, how many days would a nurse work if they were part time? does the hospital work around the school schedule? and do they you help pay for school?
  6. Yay i got my letter in Nov, so i am gonna start in fall 06 YAY
  7. Hello everyone I just have a question about Nursing School. I am going to start in the Fall '06 (Aug 28) at Barry U and I was just wondering about how many people in nursing school have dropped in the school u went to. At both Barry and FIU the advisors say not to slack because usually half the students dropped while they are in school. I am very excited to start and i know i should be positive but I admit that sometimes I worry that i might not do good. My question for everyone is that from what u have seen, what is the reason people drop? Is it lack of effort, time, money? Just worried =) Well good luck to everyone.
