I was wondering if anybody has signed up with AVANT HEALTHCARE PROFFESIONALS, a USA based agency for NURSES and PTs, which currently sponsors NCLEX-passers. Any updates with your application?
I have started this thread thinking we could update on the process that you are undergoing since US visa bulletin is fast moving.
For those who signed up with AVANT, please. Share your experience with them here.
Thank you!
Unfortunately, there have been delays and many RFEs and denials.Someone already had their petition refiled but received an RFE that was addressed to the company. I'm wondering what it is this time that the USCIS is coming after since the employment agreement was already reworded.
Hi SpidersWeb,
Do you know what become of this RFE? Was it refiled? What was the outcome? My friend got an RFE last week and wants to know how previous RFEs have worked out. Thanks.
Congrats on your approval SPidersweb I am so happy for you!!!!!!Can I Ask if what country are you from? Thank you and so excited to hear about your journey.
Thanks, Vaiochic08!
I'm from Finland. I'll make sure to keep you guys posted on this forum.
Wow! Congratulations Spider's Web. This gives me a lot of hope!
Thanks, Sember!
Hi , Do I have to take a screening exam with Avant even though I passed NCLEX and IELTs ?.
Of course you do. You have the NCLEX and the IELTS down but they still need to check that you fulfill their criteria, including but not limited to a current nursing license in the country of residence and 1-3 years of acute care experience in a tertiary level hospital with over 100 beds. (Please see the recruitment brochure at https://avanthealthcare.com/pdf/Avant-Recruitment-Brochure.pdf for more information.)
Sighhhh. I really envy those people who had their petition approved.I was filed last April 2017 then got the news that I was denied last Jan 2018 even after the RFE. Like, it took Avant to inform me 10 months after.

Last March 23,2018, I was refiled via premium processing. Exactly after 11 calendar days, USCIS gave me an RFE again. YES AGAIN. :'(
My immigration specialist told me that the lawyer is now reviewing the USCIS request and will make a comprehensive response within the next 30 days. Yeeeeppppp. Another month to wait. Avant told me that the USCIS is questioning the most recent i140 petition and asking for an additional documentation for that. What is more frustrating is that I have a co-worker, who is also under Avant, got her petition approved after 11 calendar days with no issues via premium processing. Take note, she already had her nclex and Avant immediately filed her for immigration via premium processing for the first time.
I am losing faith :'( I begin to consider myself as unlucky. This year has been so rough to me. I am nurse from PH btw.
I'm sorry to hear that it's been a rocky road for you but many of us have had to go through similar disappointing experiences. Even if waiting can make you anxious, nervous and lose faith, this is the part of the process that doesn't require any effort from you, it's just straightforward paperwork. There are obstacles along the way but you've come this far and it's only a matter of time that you'll received your immigrant visa.
Avant didn't take 10 months to inform you if the denial was issued in January 2018. It's only been 2-3 months since January and I assume they contacted you even earlier because you already had the new petition filed in March. At least I got the news of the denial January 30, scheduled a call with an immigration specialist the following day, received new documents by mid-February and had the new petition filed March 23, just like you.
Now you've had your I-140 petition filed again with premium processing and indeed you got a result within 15 days. It's not what you hoped for but the USCIS is obligated to continue to expedite your process despite this hurdle. Do you know what exactly is it about the petition they're questioning? Unfortunately replying to an RFE takes some time, especially with the backlog that the law firm must be dealing with. I suppose once further evidence is submitted, you should get another response soon because your case is still under premium processing.
Try to hang in there and I hope you will get positive news soon enough!

She received the RFE at the end of March and Avant promised to reply the RFE within 30 days, so she's still waiting. Once further evidence is submitted, the process should still continue to be expedited.
I can't remember hearing of a second denial, even after an RFE.

They did not specifically give details regarding the RFE. All they said was that it was about the most recent i410 petition. I have also have another co-worker where we were filed on the same day. She also received an RFE with the same reason. I began to wonder if it's about us being nurses in the Philippines or maybe it's because our contract, which we were sponsored to take nclex.
Thank you for your kind words. I know I have to wait patiently but I really hope I could get it this time.
*Inhale, exhale*

Hi Kairiplasty!
I dont think that having passed the NCLEX before signing a contract with Avant gives you an advantage over those who are sponsored to take the exam. If that's what you are thinking. I also already have a US license before I signed up with them. They filed a petition for me via regular processing last year, June. It took 8 months before I received an RFE. Currently, a decision is still pending. I received an email from them recently saying that I am eligible for a premium processing so I am hoping for a positive result by the end of this month.
When did they file your friend's petition? Maybe because of the recent trends in the Visa bulletin, they are processing most eligible applicants via premium. By the way, I am also from the Phillipines.

Both my friend and I were filed on March 23, 2018. The other friend was filed on March 28, 2018 and got approval 11 days after.

They told me that the USCIS is requesting for additional information of the recent i140. That was it. They also know it was a possibility as it became a common practice of the USCIS.
