Austin Community College (ACC) ADN Fall 2021

Hi there! I know it's pretty early but I thought it would be nice to create a thread for all of us who will be applying for the Fall 2021 cohort, keep each other up to date on upcoming deadlines, and this whole process in general.

Hope y'all are keeping safe and staying sane during these wild times.

I ordered through ACC.  A few days after I placed the order, I received an e-mail that said the books were on back order and would ship August 2nd.

I know students who have piecemealed their books but I just wanted to keep it simple and make sure I got the correct items.

I used the virtual bookstore and typed in the required info.  Books only popped up for one of the four classes.  The total came to almost $700.

$700 is a lot, but hopefully some of these books will be used throughout the whole program. I had no idea about the back order. Thanks for your help! I will make sure to order ASAP.

This is what I’m seeing also… only one class had books listed so I believe it’s right!

Thanks @Sammy_xo_88  Yes, I too had books show up for only one class we're registered for.

You use Fundamentals of Nursing and your MedSurg book. You also need your drug book. The books are the same for both classes.

Is the MedSurg book in the custom bundle?

I’m getting ready to buy the scrubs and ACC patches. How much do the ACC patches cost? Can you get them in store or do they have to be shipped to you?

I got mine at total uniforms, the patches are $5.50 each there and if you buy your uniform with them they sew them on.

@kebrn  I called the store and they were kind enough to mail them to me. 

@Sammy_xo_88  I didn't realize they would sew them on if you bought uniforms there.  That's nice!  I bought my scrubs on-line.

When do you guys think they will upload the Fall 2021 handbook? It is literally my last check off (besides the drug test).
