Austin Community College (ACC) ADN Fall 2021

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi there! I know it's pretty early but I thought it would be nice to create a thread for all of us who will be applying for the Fall 2021 cohort, keep each other up to date on upcoming deadlines, and this whole process in general.

Hope y'all are keeping safe and staying sane during these wild times.

Are e-mails sent off throughout the day or all at once?

I also got accepted! I'm going to celebrate with my dog tonight and have a huge bottle of celebratory wine. Congratulations to everyone else that has also been accepted! :')

Does the acceptance/denial link work for anyone?  It does not work for me and yes, I am checking from my ACC gmail account...

Cindy sent out a corrected link. Check the bottom of the email.

The few people I know all had time stamps of 1:58 p.m.  And I did see the corrected link so I'll be celebrating with y'all!  Congrats!

I got in!! Looking forward to meeting everyone and becoming friends!!

Does anyone know what the lowest point they accepted for the acceptance letters?

I’m not sure the lowest but I had a 37.56.

It sounds like it will only be reapplicants selected then! I only have 34 points but I’m also a first time applicant. Thanks for the info!

Congrats to everyone who got in! And just keep being patient to those who didn't. This was my second time applying and I got in with a 41.55. First time I applied I had a 29.

QUESTION: The acceptance email was a little unsettling to me when it mentioned the provisional factors about having sufficient faculty. Is that something they always say or should we be concerned about?

Yes be patient for sure it’ll happen! And in regards to faculty I work with two nurses who are also clinical instructors for ACC nursing program and they said one of the reasons they are not able to accept more students into the program is lack of educators. She didn’t make it sound though if once into the program there’s an issue. So fingers crossed that we should be fine because to me they wouldn’t accept if there wasn’t the faculty to accommodate the numbers.

congrats to everyone who got in. And also keep in mind I had a few friends last round not get in Initially but then a week later got an acceptance letter. Due to folks declining etc.

Last time the cut off ended up being below a 34. Keep hanging in there but don’t forget to reapply for Spring!

Congrats everyone! Finally I can breathe a little easier I received my provisional acceptance email thank goodness. Third time applicant here with a 39 ranking.

Not sure if anyone else is in the same boat but I haven’t found any information on if ACC offers any type of student health insurance?

Did you get 5 point each application or just the second one? I have heard you don’t get it after you second application.
