Hey everyody,
I was curious to know if anyody had to take ATI tests in their school of nursing especially to move forward in the last semester.I mean did you have to pass the ATI test before doing preceptorship in the last semester? If yes, how did you study for that exam. What happens if you cannot pass the exam?
We were required to pass ATI with a 75 to graduate. We had three attempts (the third was graduation day!)..Anyway, yes, you can definitely pass boards with a 92 on ATI!! I made an 87 on it, and passed boards the first time (it cut off on 75 questions). ATI is a good predictor i think because, at least to me, it was much harder than boards!!! I did a few online tests to study, but really only because we were required to...otherwise i just decided if school itself had not prepared me, cramming myself with a whole book at once probably wouldnt..so i just prayed really hard, took my time, and thought through each question!
Thanks Mommy of Three! That is very encouraging! THANK YOU! Most of the people in my class got 96 and 98 percent pass first time, so I was thinking maybe 92 was a bad indicator. Well thank you so much! That makes me feel a LOT better!
P.S. Today was my pinning ceremony. I CAN'T BELIEVE I MADE IT THROUGH RN SCHOOL. WOW! That hardest thing I have ever done.
Have a good night!!

In my LVN program, we had to take the ATI test just to see how we would do. Our nursing director said that if we got 75% or lower, she would hold off on sending our applications until we showed proof that we signed up for a refresher course. Well, she did not really follow through with what she said. She ended up sending everyones application regardless if they scored 75% or lower.
