I submitted my application for the accelerated Summer 2010 program at ASU awhile ago, but I just realized that the February 1st deadline was coming up and wanted to see if anyone else here on allnurses.com applied or is applying. I'm so nervous, I've already applied once and didn't make it--I really, really, really, REALLY hope I can get in this time.
I'm already starting to get impatient waiting for April!!! My whole life is on hold until then! I hate that I can't apply to any other schools because I'm stuck waiting for ASU and I don't want to pay a bunch of application fees if I make it into ASU regardless. Don't get me wrong, though, I really want to get into ASU's program. I just want to get into nursing, really. It's just a little annoying that we will find out about getting into the program so late in the year .
us current junior 1's (me and tarabara) just finished our last final this morning. we're finally done with our first semester! so now it's your turn. when do you start?

it feels great. it's a huge relief. a break is nice, but summer is way too long to be off school. i kind of want to jump into next semester again already. i'm going to forget all of the skills i learned this semester!
maybe i'll try to compile some tips that i wish i knew before it was too late.
YAY! omg i'm so excited to be done and im very happy to have summer off however I agree with tttt, I'm scared im gonna forget everything! I'm really excited for jr2!
You guys must be so relieved! I agree with you guys that summer is a little too long; I'd be so worried about forgetting stuff! I guess that's a perk of going to school through the summer! Having like 2 or 3 weeks off in between would be nice, though!

I wouldn't sweat the financial aid for Fall/Spring thing. I highly doubt it's right, because we DO have to be signed up for classes before we get our awards because the awards are based off of how many credit hours we take. I think that's why my scholarship isn't up because it is PURELY based on credit hour and I don't have any classes for Fall yet!
I'm going to get my books and hopefully my parking decal in just a couple minutes! I had to come Downtown to take one of my finals using ASU's wifi since my internet craps out way too much at home. I'm so nerdily excited to get the books, though! :)
Congrats to all of yall just finishing up JR1. Maybe you can find somewhere that will let you extern over the summer. I think CHW lets you start externing after JR1. Again, good job and will probably be seeing yall around in the Fall.

I wonder if they just went ahead and assumed we would be in JR2 then because then they would know exactly the classes and number of hours we would be taking. Who knows. I just want this summer stuff to get taken care of ASAP.
I paid a total of about $566 too! I thought that you got something extra as well. LOL... even the bookstore messes our stuff up! Hopefully you'll get your money back. :hlk:They make me so angry!!!! hahahahaha
