I submitted my application for the accelerated Summer 2010 program at ASU awhile ago, but I just realized that the February 1st deadline was coming up and wanted to see if anyone else here on allnurses.com applied or is applying. I'm so nervous, I've already applied once and didn't make it--I really, really, really, REALLY hope I can get in this time.
I'm already starting to get impatient waiting for April!!! My whole life is on hold until then! I hate that I can't apply to any other schools because I'm stuck waiting for ASU and I don't want to pay a bunch of application fees if I make it into ASU regardless. Don't get me wrong, though, I really want to get into ASU's program. I just want to get into nursing, really. It's just a little annoying that we will find out about getting into the program so late in the year .
Hmmm...I just got my book box too! Mine was only $566 though! Did you get something extra? Why was yours 20$ more?
I paid a total of about $566 too! I thought that you got something extra as well. LOL... even the bookstore messes our stuff up! Hopefully you'll get your money back. :hlk:They make me so angry!!!! hahahahaha

I paid $587.50 for mine, too! WHAT THE HECK?!?!?!?! Ohhhh, no they didn't!!! *snap snap* Seriously, though. Dude. What the heck!?! I wish I saw this before now because I want to call them right now! Wake them all up!! haha. I wonder if they're open Saturdays... if they are, I am going to call them FIRST THING tomorrow. What. The. Heck?! Bad, ASU, bad! UGH!
Did you guys (the ones who got the package cheaper) by any chance keep your receipts? And is there any chance that you guys might be willing to go to the Bookstore on Monday (before/after the ceremony?) to help plead our case by proving that they've sold them for different prices? I know that's a lot to ask, but I'm afraid they're not going to believe me when I tell them they've sold the package for less, so I just want to be thorough.

I just want to start and not have to worry about this, just worry about studying and getting concepts down, etc. etc. No more mess-ups, or money holds, or mixed up accounts, or delayed anything. Just us and the coursework, studying to be future RN's of the world. *sigh*

Woo hoo! You guys are my heroes!! :) That's so stupid of ASU to do that... but I'm trying not to dwell on negative thoughts haha. I can't believe that the ceremony is tomorrow, though! It came so quickly!
As for new information, my summer disbursement hold came off of my "Hold" list! But nothing changed with my FA, so I don't really know what's up with that haha.
But again, thank you guys so much!!! The Downtown bookstore is open until 5:30pm so hopefully there will be enough time to settle everything. I'll run there in my heels if I have to! I *should* be wearing a purple dress tomorrow, although I haven't quite decided yet... haha... and my last name starts with a B, so if we're lined up/sat in alphabetical order, I should be pretty near the front. :)
No problem! I'm not sure what I'm wearing yet but my last name starts with Z, Im sure Im the only one so I won't be hard to pick out! My hold came off my account too, but the review is still under my to do list and my financial aide didn't change at all either......I wish I could just keep myself from looking at it until we start school but I just can't! haha
I'll be wearing a black top and a black/white skirt. I left my info. at home. Can someone please tell me the room number for the ceremony? It starts at 3 but we're suppose to be there at 2:30ish, right? Haha.. I'm super out of it today!!!
I thought it was going to be in the same room that the welcome meeting was in?! I'll double check it when I get home. Everyone probably already knows what I look like, but will be wearing black slacks, blue shirt and silver tie. Did not know about getting there at 2:30, guess I will have a leave a little earlier.
Also, the hold came off of mine and the Summer Aid Eligibility Review came off, so I'm guessing that they hopefully will be sending out money soon.
