Do you feel like you settled? I had originally gone for pre-med but due to time constraints and a desperate desire to get into something medical I managed to get into the nursing program at school and, even though I am only about to start my second quarter, I feel like there are still amazing opportunities ahead of me and that if there is "something more," I am going to find it in nursing. I don't know how I'll feel when I get to where you are at but I am trying to embrace it all and I no longer fear that "having settled" feeling like I initially had when I was grieving the death of my med school dream.
Afraid that my profs wont be able to help us much: program changed to Concept-based and this is the first semester they are teaching it. They even told us not to read ahead because theyd have no clue what to do
Semester 1 and we already did Tach suctioning & care, IV next week, then NGs, Foleys, then Meds right after that... we are doing more stuff than 2nd and 3rd year students in our first semester

This quarter (my second) we will be starting meds and learning IVs and such. Even though I just had a month off, I'm tired from all the catching up I had to do with my "real life." I also an mentoring a 1st quarter student and I'm scared I won't be able to help her with what she needs. I think, with a day away before the next quarter starts, I'm afraid I will have forgotten crucial things that I should have carved more time out to review in the meanwhile. I'm mostly afraid of the unknown of a new clinical site.
