  1. Yes, what the above poster said. My nurse manager went over it with me and I also asked another girl who got hired at a local VA what they were asking for. They really want specific examples of everything and lots of details. Anything that you think may be insignificant, you should include it.
  2. I really thought that, that was what I demonstrated in my examples. Looking back on my submission I see two standards that I could have elaborated on further but as far as the others I'm not sure what else I can submit. I'm sure they don't want us lying.
  3. Hello all, I am new to the VA system and have been offered a tentative job and I sent my NPSB to the board and it got sent back with 5/9 dimensions that needed "better examples" for a nurse 2 position. I was wondering if anyone had any examples of resource utilization, performance, collaboration, and quality of care. I thought that I submitted some top notch examples but apparently not LOL. The examples that they originally sent weren't very specific. Thanks!
  4. Yeah I was referring to the HRSA
  5. Hello all! I am just wondering if anyone has done the nurse corps scholarship program and how it is working out for them. I've considered doing it just so I won't leave nursing school with debt. For those who are unfamiliar with this it is a program in which they basically pay your tuition in exchange for your service as a nurse in underserved communities and they provide you with a stipend for rent, etc. Thanks for the feedback!
  6. As someone who just started earlier this month. Failure. Killing someone. Dry cracked hands from washing them so much. Not passing NCLEX and not getting a job. Stressing out about bills from not working as much. Working too much and neglecting school.
  7. It was good I only had fundamentals today so we'll see how the rest of the week goes lol. How was yours?
  8. Yes we had 2 out of 4 posted and dimensional analysis doesn't start until later on lol. I hope we don't have reading to do in those other classes.
  9. I know I'm a little early but does anyone know if we get a lab kit later on in nursing school? Just curious.
  10. Yeah I clicked those gray squares next to our classes. I'll be checking all weekend lol.
  11. Hello all! I start nursing school next week and I'm trying to find a website to purchase a stethoscope from I've looked at allheart.com medisave.net and tigermedical.com as possible website but I'm not sure of their reliability. Thanks for your responses.
  12. That's crazy because the same thing happened to us stuff was back ordered and no one told us until last night in emails and like I was telling hgt the uniform people told us we could get the pants from somewhere else but the school said no. I wish I would have known they were on allheart I would order them from there but I've already placed an order for everything
  13. I did the email trick thanks ladies! Is there a way to view our syllabus as well?
