Arnett Test for NCLEX

Published

I took the Arnett Test for the NCLEX today. It was supposed to simulate the NCLEX. I passed it. The fellow who did my evaluation said that my low points were Pharmacology and OB (I'm in OB now...). I am average I was told...

But it made me feel good to know I passed! It was a simulated test....but I passed! I was also told that I did great on the first 12 questions, then I started to go downhill because my brain just shut down from processing too much info at once. He said to review a little bit and to SLOW DOWN!

Anyone else heard of such a test, a did you have to take one?

julie, when i was in lpn school, we took the nln nearing the end of each semester (it was quarters then), other than this, i don't know about the arnett test.

congratulations on passing.!

if i may, i was wondering how does your program work? i know you will be done with the lpn program in 5 weeks. you are going straight into the rn problem in the fall? how many semesters is your lpn program? just curious.

I took the Arnett test too. I passed it, also. We also had to take other Arnett tests during the school year, OB, Peds, Med-Surg, etc, they weren't worth a hoot. I think the mock NCLEX by Arnett was OK though. We also had RN CATs we had to take, similar to the NCLEX.

We took NLN and SOCATS testing when I was in PN school. I never really minded tests. That NLCEX was the one that worried me. I think the practice tests are helpful before the "Big One".

Ive never heard of this practice test, sounded like good sound advice though. MY problem is my brain FREEZES when testing like the NCLEX. I wanna be soooo prepared that I go to bed EARLY the night before, wake up, go take that bad boy and PASS!

Hi all!!! What does Arnett testing consist of?

This thread is six years old and we are not seeing that exam used any longer as a check to see if one can be successful on the NCLEX.

None of these programs are the same as the NCLEX exam.

Closing this thread since the information in it is obsolete at this time.
