Hello, All! My packet for 66P AD packet is almost complete and will be submitted for the October Board, fingers crossed. Anyone else waiting for this board? How has your whole process been? Anyone who has previously undergone this experience is more than welcome to give input! Thanks!

Tripler is great! Love Hawaii and the Army ICU nurses I’ve met are awesome. Very knowledgeable and really care about their career and their patients. My OIC/NCOICs also really care about us and work hard to get us the opportunity to do “Army” stuff like Air Assault and JECC. I unfortunately tore my ACL on a hike out here and have been recovering from surgery and all that so I feel like I haven’t been able to do much yet that’s very different from being a regular civilian ICU nurse. But so far, it has been a great experience.

TexasBronco1210,

I was just informed that I was selected in the April 16th boards for 66S on the Reserve side. I’m assuming I’ll be with the 1984th as it’s the only reserve unit in Hawaii. I know you’re active duty however, do you see many Reserve 66S in the ICU at Tripler? I am already a commissioned officer, just doing a transfer over to Nursing and not sure what to expect in the following months.

Thanks for any information you you can provided.

Yes we do have a few 66S reserve nurses. Will you be working full time at Tripler or will you still be at your current hospital? I don’t know too much about the reserve side. I know that you’ll eventually do the field portion of BOLC for training.

Can anyone on here with some experience in Army DM me? It will not allow me to send messages and I have a few questions I was hoping to get some help with regarding new accession to APMC . Thank you!!

You won't be able to access DMs until you have a certain number of posts in the forums. Then it is "unlocked". I think it's like 10 or something like that, I can't remember exactly. Not very many!

I have multiple points of contact and am having difficulty navigating who does what specifically. Originally there were errors when I was entered into the HR database ( incorrect DOB). This has effected things downstream with log-ins and scheduling essential tasks which are being addressed. I have scheduled DODPHA and am trying to address the medical readiness aspect. I have reached out to the POC training manager but have not heard back. Are these the folks that would assist with DCC and BOLC? For APMC folks specifically how do you arrange your drill time/ who is there to assist with this/ is the training manager the appropriate POC. I have heard multiple conflicting things from recruiters and just trying to get more information. Just trying to get a lay of the land overall. Appreciate any feedback that I can get. Thanks!!

I'm assuming that no one selected on the April board has gotten their scroll approved yet? Or choices for station?

Nope. Some people from December are just now getting scrolls and what not. My recruiter said ours should be faster because they switched the process and he said they submitted mine before the board met so I should get it soon. Who knows it’s all a lot of waiting

I believe HRC should be handling your DCC and BOLC.
