Just wondering if there's some particular nursing specialty which deals with more vomit than all others.
Stories are welcome, of course.

Rivers of vomit in oncology, in spite of these amazing 'new' drugs to control it, there was still a lot more than average, methinks. Here's another one; inpatient detox. Alcohol, benzos and opioid withdrawal pushes the boundaries of barf to a new level.

I worked in outpatient oncology and saw very little puking. In peds., however, it was on a daily basis.

I would place my bets on school nursing but I can see oncology giving me a run for my money. LOL!
I think the worst thing about school nursing vomiting is figuring out what to do next. Obviously call a parent but is there a change of clothes available? Is the custodian available? What do I do with other kids trying to enter my office with vomit everywhere?

I seriously JUST realized there are two threads, one asking where the MOST vomit occurs, one where the LEAST is....by two different people.Man, that is A LOT of preoccupation with vomit, folks!Emesis happens.

I think this thread is just a way for someone to poke fun at the person who started the other thread. That person seems to be preoccupied with bodily fluids.

Ok i'll bite...or swallow... or just answer the question. Most people would be surprised how much vomiting goes on in labor and delivery, the contracting brings about the vomiting.
