is it worth buying the more expensive brands in terms of comfort, fading, shrinkage, etc or are you paying more for just the name?

I have a mix of the name brand; and I do use store brand-depending on the store brand; some are not made in the best fabric.
I like Cherokee workwear and Dickies ; the best store-brand that I have brought is from allheart.com.

It's worth investing in the name brand scrubs, in my opinion. They're better cut, better made, often softer and thicker fabric, and
have more storage space.
They also wear much better- I have a mix of Grey's Anatomy, Koi and Dickies.
Ok then I will start investing in some-thanks! :)

Nursing scrubs from Dickies works for me but it boils down to what fits your figure and the comfort it gives.

My kois and greys anatomy stand up to the constant washing and still look great a year later. Be sure to get scrubs with enough pockets for you.

I'm not so sure it matters what the brand is, as long as you've chosen something that is of good quality, period. I have a ton of Tafford scrubs that wear like IRON, and are far more modestly priced compared with some of the more well-known brands. I have some from a cheapie company that absolutely weren't the same quality as my Taffords (stitching pulling apart!).
While I haven't had any trouble with the pricier brands, I just wouldn't discount the lesser-knowns until you've had a chance to look them over :)

It 100% is. Brands like Grey's Anatomy fit better, look better, wash better, and last longer. It's a very well worth it investment.

I like my Jockey scrubs. They are super soft and have lasted a long time. The downside is when I ruin them with ink pens exploding in my pocket. You'd think I'd learn.
