Are your grades in yet?

Only two of my 6 classes have posted my final grades. Currently I have a 3.75 grade point average. I will probably stay above 3.0 but not sure how far above since I did get a B+ in one of my classes. The rest are in the A range.

I currently have one paper due tomorrow that I'm working on. Not hard stuff but I am not really motivated to write it. I will hammer it out tonight and email it off tomorrow morning. THen I'll be done until Jan 8th when Spring semester starts.

I did take a few of my books to the buy back event. I kept the science ones because they will be really useful for basic concepts. I got over a 100 bucks out of the others, which was way more then I thought they would give me but hey, I'm not going to argue!

I finished last thursday, and am happy to say I still have a 4.0. The only science I have left to take is A&P 2, the rest of my classes next semester are econ , hist, and nutrition. GL on the rest of your finals.

Great job!!! congrats on the fantastic grades.

mine aren't in yet i finished AP 12/1 but that was a week early the class officially finished this past saturdayso I am anxiously awaiting to see my A in print hehehe. Chemistry the final is Thursday so much information and its worth 200 of our 500 points.

I have never felt so traumatized by a final exam in my life, as today. I went into my chemistry final exam with a 93% average from 3 exams so far this semester. Our final exam was not written by our intructors - it was a standardized exam from the American Chemical Society called the "General, Organic and Biochemistry Exam."

(((oh my gawd it was excrutiating, it was so hard.)))

Everything was worded differently than we've been taught. Half the class was still sitting there stone cold quiet when class was up. Two girls were teary. I've never seen a final like this one.

All I can say is the instructor better curve this or everyone dropped a full grade or two today. I can't help but be afraid that I dropped to a 'B' and that will bust my 4.0, which means I may not get into nursing school...blah blah blah, I'd like some alcohol right now, but I have another final tomorrow!

Got an A in Chem lecture and an A in Chem lab. Yay me!

That's great! Good for you.:balloons:

AZmom,

I'm thinking you are in Arizona like me? Did you have to take this standardized ACS exam for your chemistry final?

I took Chem through Rio, so took their standardized exam which followed the lessons and book pretty well.

Ok, so this standardized American Chemical Society Exam isn't a requirement for all az community colleges. Just mine decided to put us thru this hell.

Good for you on your grades!

I should get all A's again this semester. yay. I hope this won't change with the classes I'll be taking next semester. :uhoh3:

I took the ACS too, and it is the reason I got a B in there, but I also did over the summer and my head just about exploded. I believe I'll have all A's this semester ( API, Sociology, History 2, Government 2, and Walking), but I still have a B from Chem, and College Algebra which I took my first semester.

Thank you! Someone else took the ACS. I'm thinking my instructor will have to curve this exam?! Otherwise I don't think anyone will get an A in the class.

I found the website for the ACS and their exams. Listed are percentile scores. I think the 50th percentile was roughly 55% correct answers on the exam. About 80% correct answers would put you in about the 95th percentile of test takers. Tough exam!!!

It was curved. I got an A in chemistry!!!!!!!!!!
