Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Only two of my 6 classes have posted my final grades. Currently I have a 3.75 grade point average. I will probably stay above 3.0 but not sure how far above since I did get a B+ in one of my classes. The rest are in the A range.

I currently have one paper due tomorrow that I'm working on. Not hard stuff but I am not really motivated to write it. I will hammer it out tonight and email it off tomorrow morning. THen I'll be done until Jan 8th when Spring semester starts.

I did take a few of my books to the buy back event. I kept the science ones because they will be really useful for basic concepts. I got over a 100 bucks out of the others, which was way more then I thought they would give me but hey, I'm not going to argue!

My AP grade finally came in today I got an A yay!!! I take my Chem final tomorrow am and then I am all done till 1/23 yahoo!

Aren't you glad that the two are combined? This is not unusual...in our class the lab score could save your butt in lecture, too. The lecture part was far more difficult than the lab part and it evened things out. Enjoy your success, you earned it! You did great!!!!! :monkeydance:

I don't even know what my final grade was LOL ours is all combined. In Chemistry though I will say we have seperate grades and the lab portion is what brought me way down! our labs were so hard and we had no direction I absolutely dreaded going to lab!

Oh, I resent bad labs....I am sooooooo glad that I don't have a class with lab this coming semester.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that everything works out.

I do too that class made me really angry because I have never in my life taken Chemistry or anything close to it, and I was really frightened to even do it, I put off school for a semester which set me back a year because I was thinking I couldn't do chem. Well turns out I really really liked it and I was mad because the labs had great potential for learning and all i ever was frustrated, I ended up doing the work to do the work instead of "learning"

ya will be happy to be done with labs I have 2 more next semester with AP102 and micro yay me LOL

This is my first post so I want to say hi to everyone out there! Got all a's this semester. Yay for me! I just have two easy classes next semester; Medical Terminology and Professions of Caring. My school admits on the point system and the person with the highest total score in the last nursing class was 53, I should have a 51 so I am feeling pretty good right now. Anyway I want to wish everyone a great semester break and the happiest of Holidays!

Welcome!!!! And congrats on your excellent grades:D

My school does that point system as well...can you tell me exactly how that works anyway? It seems like you know more about this than I. Thanks!

Congrats on everyones good grades!!!! I didn't get my grades yet, but I know I am getting As in both Chemistry and Nutrition. I thought Chemistry would be much harder, but it wasn't that bad. Now I just have Organic Chemistry and Microbiology left to take. And I will be starting Nursing school next year! I can't wait! I just hope I get into the school I really want to get into! I will be sending out my application next week and I am really nervous. I don't know if I can wait months to get an answer. I will go crazy!

Since I work full time as an LVN, I only took 4 classes this semester. I have been checking daily for posted grades throughout the past couple of days and finally saw them posted online this morning. I am thrilled because I received all 'A' grades. :D

Is organic chemistry a required pre-requ for nursing at your school ?

WOW! Everyone, send me some of those good chem grade, nutrition, and physiology vibes ( I take those next semester). This semester pulled an A in Micro and Anatomy. Got a B in Patient Care Technician. Killer hard class. Right now, I am taking intersession statistics, so with 20% of the class behind me, I am holding a 97%, I just hope that I can keep it up. Best of luck everyone next semester!

And lostinparadise- thank goodness no, no organic chem here.

Medical Terminology A

Math for Meds A

Chemistry A

Ethics B :o

Math for Meds and Chemistry are the only "required" courses for the ADN program so I shouldn't fret about my B in Ethics.
