ARC/SCC ADN FALL 2019

Hi Everyone!!! I didn't see a thread for Fall 2019, so I figured I'd get the ball rolling. This is my first time applying to both SCC and ARC. I turned in my paper packets on 2/11 and 2/13. SCC updated my status to received this morning. I plan to also apply at Delta, but would really prefer acceptance at ARC or SCC.

Nothing here either ? I’ve been waiting a year also. The only thing that I’m holding onto is the possibility of getting into AR or SC in the next couple weeks. Congrats to those that got in though! Good luck in the program!

I didn't get an acceptance email either, oh well, there's still a possibility of getting into ARC or Delta. But I hate this period of waiting! It's so difficult.

I have been applying for a year too, but yesterday I got into Sierra. I was getting so desperate to get in I applied at Delta even though that’s an hour and a half drive for me each way! I also applied at ARC and SacState (but I won’t make it off their waitlist). Don’t give up hope for those who have been applying the same amount of time - it does happen!

@LateBloomer09 wait, did ARC already choose students for fall of 2019? You made it sound as though you're on the waitlist for that time slot.

Also, did you guys know that Delta chooses 90% of their students in ranking order of points and the remaining 10% through lottery?

No, sorry to alarm you - SacState is the only one that has a waitlist right now - I haven’t heard anything from ARC. Just to clarify SacState’s waitlist announcement hasn’t been official - I just know I didn’t have enough points to make the cutoff to get in.

I learned that Delta was 90% merit a couple months ago, which is why I added it in too schools I was applying to. I figured I had a better chance with that then I was having with the lotteries.

I’m so incredibly discouraged. This was my 3rd time applying to Sierra. It’s pretty crushing. Trying to prepare myself for disappointment from ARC and Sac City too. I must say, I’m getting close to giving up. Been waiting 2 years. The emotional rollercoaster of it all is getting harder to deal with.

@Pillow2006 So sorry! I know the wait just sucks! I’ve been applying for nursing school for 2 years as well, this is my first time applying to ARC and SCC as before I was in southern California applying to schools (was rejected all 3 rounds of apps I was there for). Hoping the best for us all!!!

Pillow, have you tried applying to Delta?? They rank students, so the better your grades, the better chance on getting in, I applied there now just waiting
