Per the request of janina08 I've started the April NCLEX takers support group. When do you take it? What are you using to study? Would anyone like to review any of the systems/meds that he/she feels weakest on? Let's keep each other in our prayers and good thoughts as we go through one of the biggest experiences of our lives. :)
Well I took my exam this morning for the second time. (I failed last time with 120 questions)Today my computer shut off at 75 questions.
I had about 8-10 SATA.
3 Math.
Tons of priority questions.
No delegation questions that I can recall.
Quite a few of medication questions, especially at the end. I feel like the last 4 or 5 questions were all medication questions.
Now I must wait.
I think you passed since you had so many SATA! I only had 5, so I am REALLY NERVOUS!
I took the test this morning:5 SATA
(I am scared b/c most people who pass say they had so many SATA:crying2:)
5 Math
So many pharm questions (like 10 or more)
So many priority questions (like 10 or more)
the test cut off at 78.... I think I got the last three right
Pearson says that Alabama doesn't participate in quick results... so I will be checking BON website
:uhoh3:
I am nervous
Thanks for your support. I think the fact that you got the last three right, is definitely a good sign. Good luck. I'm so nervous for both of us.

Welcome to the message board.... her plan detail is on the sticky.... that is where to start....
so for those who have the exam already.. how was the test? was it harder that u expected and where the questions similar to anything that uve studied before?
I took the test today. One thing I can say is that I am so glad that I did Kaplan. I found that doing to the qbank and question trainers helped a lot. I'm pretty sure that there were a few questions that were almost exactly like in kaplan. Anyway, my test stopped at 75 questions. I'm hoping that's a good sign since most people who stop at 75 questions, pass. So I'm definitely nervous, but all I can do is wait and keep myself distracted in the mean time.
There were a few questions that were exactly from Saunders.... just a few... I WAS SUPRISED to see any b/c I think Saunders questions are a bit easier than the actual test.... like I said I had lots of meds.... and when I studied, I focused on Pharm as you know... so I didn't mind seeing those questions. But I still have to wait until Thursday to know for sure.... I will keep checking BON staring from tomorrow b/c they said it takes between 24-72 hours to post... LORD HAVE MERCY:bowingpur
ps. had lots of endocrine and psych questions.... not many OB. had 78 questions
Good luck guys... especially those taking it tomorrow
hi OR2CA,Two weeks before my test I did about 100 questions every morning, and after that made a list of commonly tested topics and also my weak points and re read those...I must confess though that I am used to last minute reading....so I did do a kind of overall content "look through" where I just skimmed over everything.....(may not be a good idea for everybody!!!) Please read infection control ....following websites may help...All the best to you!!.
..you have prepared well ...just take your time with the questions on the test..Will definitely pray for you!!!!!
A mnemonic I made for airborne infections was...
MY-measles
Chicken-C POX(varicella)
HaZ-Disemminated Herpes Zoster
TB -Tuberculosis
