This may be a far fetched thread but I am planning on applying next fall (or second half of year June 2nd-Dec 31st) for the Fall 2015 start AP BSN program (also applying on campus just to cover my bases). A little jealous that other schools like TWU can apply in the semester before the they are looking to start. Either way I was thinking this thread could help those who are needing to know the process and others who have info from advisors that could share with the rest of us. So here are my questions:
A. I have not taken HESI yet but UTA's does not require sciences from what I have found online and been told by others. Any tips on preparing for this? Which prereqs would you recommend having done prior to testing?
*B. Transferring outside pre-nursing requisites Intro to Nursing, Patho and Pharm. I got info from an advisor that I must fax a "portfolio" including an official transcript, copies of catalog description of course from college, and copy of syllabi for each course. Has anyone else done this and is this done AFTER courses are completed and appear on transcript? Or before the classes are taken? I am considering Brookhaven for these. Is it possible these NOT be approved? Did anyone stack these courses Intro and Pharm same semester or Patho and pharm?
C. UTA upper division elective. Medical Terminology is what is accepted for UTA AP BSN program. How have others taken the course? Such as online, over summer, flex term?
*As you can see B is my biggest concern.
If there is anything else someone would like to add please feel free. I want this thread to help make the application process as smooth as possible for others as well.
Thank you!
I don't think we should worry about codes or writing being next to the partnership organization. I don't think its any indication of anything (yet). I believe the header portion of the degree plan evaluation just lists certain stats, such as if you are a dual applicant, veteran BSN, etc. However, I may be completely wrong.
Anxious is right. Haven't been able to focus on school or work at all since Friday. Non-stop checking my email & wondering when we'll all hear.
Hoping we should ALL hear by Friday at the latest! This is what the advising office told me today. At this point, I am thinking it will probably be closer to Friday if not, actually on Friday. Every time I check my email, I hope to see something!
So I don't even see Partnership Org anywhere under my Degree Plan Eval unless I'm totally missing it. I am partnered, at 2 hospitals actually, and I was contacted by the advisor who processed my app that I would have to choose which site I would want to be ranked with. So I chose, and I know they know I'm a dual applicant and partnered, but I don't even see it as a header anywhere.

In MyMav, you'll go to the self-service tab and select Degree Plan Evaluation. Select the UGRD APP button, which should open the eval. The first line of identifiers has your name, student ID, etc. The next line should say something about your application "type" (Mine is AP), and immediately below that should appear the "Partner Org" header.

I have a number & hospital on mine, but I am not partnered. I did not select that I am partnered in the application, either. For me (personally), the only "connection" my application has with Texas Health is the THR scholarship I "qualified" & indicated interest for.
