  2. UTA AO-BSN program is very competitive; in response to your question, I think it depends on the area that you live in. They have more clinical sites in the Dallas area than they do in Houston and San Antonio. Each clinical site only has 10 students. The Dallas area has 10-12 clinical sites, Houston has 2-3, and San Antonio has 1. I put the range because I've seen it change from Fall to Spring. You stats look good and if you are in the Dallas area, your chances are better of course.
  3. I received my blue card from the BON last week.
  4. With your current stats, I don't see why you would get in. I'm not a San Jac student; however, most nursing programs are the same in regards to their academic admission requirements. The main question is how many students do they start in each semester and how many applicants do they have. I generally suggest you apply to more than one program. You should also consider Lonestar and Alvin CC if the ADN path is what you are seeking; however, if you are seeking a BSN program you may want to try U of H, Sam Houston, or UT Health Science.
  5. I do recall it taking about 2-3 weeks before receiving the email last semester.
  6. No, I just clicked the link. Once UTA receives your confirmation information, they process it with the Texas BON. I simply think that my information was still in there from last semester.
  7. I received an email yesterday from UTA indicating my information was entered by the Texas BON and it included a FAST Fingerprint Pass form. This may be because I already went through this process once. I scheduled an appointment at Identogo to have my fingerprints done next week; however, I received a blue card from the Texas BON clearing me late last year, so I'm inquiring as to whether or not I need to do this again.
  8. I don't suggest dropping out; you must complete this semester to the best of your ability. In the mean time, you should research other nursing programs and transfer to another program. The problem you are facing at this point is many schools and nursing programs have stipulations regarding the maximum number of withdrawals you can have on your transcript, thus it's important for your to start researching other programs. In the meantime, seek assistance from Youtube.com and other resources to help you get through the semester.
  9. When I started nursing school three years ago, I had three children in school (2 in high school and 1 in college). The college student didn't really require a lot of attention; however, he was an athlete and wanted support at games. The 2 high school students required significant attention because not only were they in school, but they also had jobs after school. Needless to say, I worked full-time and was a full-time student. I found myself doing a significant amount of my school work on the job, mainly during lunch time. One thing that helped me was studying a specific subject on a specific day; for instance, Monday - Pharmacology, Tuesday - Chemistry, Wednesday - History, etc. What you are doing can be accomplished with little stress. The main thing you need to do is purchase a good planner and organize, organize, organize. I would consider speaking with your employer about possibly changing your work hours. I work 7 am - 4 pm which reduces traffic for me going and coming. Look at ways you can change your current schedule and possibly get assistance from family members, friends, or others willing to assist you in accomplishing your ultimate goal.
  10. What BON email are you talking about?
  11. They will start calling off the wait list after April 1, 2016.
  12. That's it for today. We will probably receive an email with further instructions.
  13. Science GPA: 3.0 Overall GPA: 3.2 HESI Score: 90 No considerations
  14. Don't grieve too much, you will get a call real soon (probably within the next two weeks or sooner).
  15. Accepted! Great day...I will be accepting my position for the Accelerated Online BSN program.
