UT Arlington AP BSN online Spring 2017
UTA AO-BSN program is very competitive; in response to your question, I think it depends on the area that you live in. They have more clinical sites in the Dallas area than they do in Houston and San Antonio. Each clinical site only has 10 students. The Dallas area has 10-12 clinical sites, Houston has 2-3, and San Antonio has 1. I put the range because I've seen it change from Fall to Spring. You stats look good and if you are in the Dallas area, your chances are better of course.

UTA Fall 2016
I received my blue card from the BON last week.

Will I get in?
With your current stats, I don't see why you would get in. I'm not a San Jac student; however, most nursing programs are the same in regards to their academic admission requirements. The main question is how many students do they start in each semester and how many applicants do they have. I generally suggest you apply to more than one program. You should also consider Lonestar and Alvin CC if the ADN path is what you are seeking; however, if you are seeking a BSN program you may want to try U of H, Sam Houston, or UT Health Science.

UTA Fall 2016
No, I just clicked the link. Once UTA receives your confirmation information, they process it with the Texas BON. I simply think that my information was still in there from last semester.

UTA Fall 2016
I received an email yesterday from UTA indicating my information was entered by the Texas BON and it included a FAST Fingerprint Pass form. This may be because I already went through this process once. I scheduled an appointment at Identogo to have my fingerprints done next week; however, I received a blue card from the Texas BON clearing me late last year, so I'm inquiring as to whether or not I need to do this again.

Please help!! Should I withdraw from nursing school?
I don't suggest dropping out; you must complete this semester to the best of your ability. In the mean time, you should research other nursing programs and transfer to another program. The problem you are facing at this point is many schools and nursing programs have stipulations regarding the maximum number of withdrawals you can have on your transcript, thus it's important for your to start researching other programs. In the meantime, seek assistance from Youtube.com and other resources to help you get through the semester.

Pre-reqs, Fulltime job, and motherhood
When I started nursing school three years ago, I had three children in school (2 in high school and 1 in college). The college student didn't really require a lot of attention; however, he was an athlete and wanted support at games. The 2 high school students required significant attention because not only were they in school, but they also had jobs after school. Needless to say, I worked full-time and was a full-time student. I found myself doing a significant amount of my school work on the job, mainly during lunch time. One thing that helped me was studying a specific subject on a specific day; for instance, Monday - Pharmacology, Tuesday - Chemistry, Wednesday - History, etc. What you are doing can be accomplished with little stress. The main thing you need to do is purchase a good planner and organize, organize, organize. I would consider speaking with your employer about possibly changing your work hours. I work 7 am - 4 pm which reduces traffic for me going and coming. Look at ways you can change your current schedule and possibly get assistance from family members, friends, or others willing to assist you in accomplishing your ultimate goal.

The THR (Texas Health Resources) indication simply is an indicator for who you are "Partnered" with. On the application, there was a place for you to indicate whether or not you are partnered with one of the facilities that they have a relationship with. If you currently work in the healthcare industry for certain hospitals, you will be labeled "Partnered" and it will indicate what facility you are "Partnered" (current hospital) with. Not all hospitals are "Partner" hospitals; however, many of the hospitals in the North Texas area are considered "Partnered".

How do online LL nursing classes at UTA compare with UL online classes?
During UL courses, you will have classwork that you complete online and on the weekend you will do the 12 hours for clinical. The first part of the clinical, 7 am - 1 pm you will have class instruction time/lab and from 2 pm - 6 pm you will actually be on the floor with a preceptor, these times can be reversed. Proctored exams will cover coursework/clinical instruction and will take place at your clinical site on a certain day (Wednesday). That's what I know so far...hope it helps.

Two things that you may want to start working on are your immunizations and BLS CPR certification. Immunizations specifically, are problematic for some people; thus, it's important that you start working on it now if you don't already have them. Below is a list of what's required by UTA. MMR - 2 doses Varicella - 2 doses Tdap - 1 dose after 2006 Influenza - Annually (September - March) Hep B - 3 doses Hep A - 2 doses TB Skin Test - 2 negative readings within 12 month period

When we get accepted, we will all log into blackboard where we will be communicating with the CON Administrator. There will be a lot of paperwork we are required to take care of by a certain date. One of the documents we will complete is the preference worksheet. We will be given the opportunity to list our preference for the clinical site and they will attempt to place us according to our preference. If I remember correctly, only 10 people can be assigned to each clinical site; I'm not sure how they do the selection. We will not know for certain which site we are assigned to until May, possibly June. Clinical will take place on Sat/Sun; however, I've been informed that you "may" be required to go on a Thur/Fri, though very unlikely.

I'll be working full-time; however, my job is very amenable to my needs. I'm allowed to study and do class work during downtime, so they are very flexible. Considering the majority of clinical hours are on the weekend, I don't see a need to quit my job; however, when clinical hours are on a weekday, I will simply utilize my sick/vacation time.

Need Hesi Help ASAP
When you say you used the Evolve Assessment to study, what exactly are you talking about? When I took the HESI, I used the HESI Admission Assessment Exam Review, which helped me tremendously. This book contains information that is almost verbatim of what is on the exam. If you can get your hands on this book and study one section a day, you should pass the HESI will ease. I rented the book; however, it may be available at the library. Good luck! Admission Assessment Exam Review, 3e. HESI. 97814557

ADN programs in houston
HCC lost their accreditation and are no longer accepting new students. I suggest Lonestar or Alvin Community College.
