I wanted to start a thread for all of us who are applying to various nursing schools in the area for 2010. I have applied to five different places: OHSU-Monmouth, University of Portland, Portland Community College, The University of Washington, and Boise State University. I wanted to cover myself and hopefully ensure that I would get in somewhere. I have a really good GPA and experience as an EMT-Basic so I am hoping that that will help my chances.

I just wanted to offer some hope to those of you who have been placed on the alternate lists.
I am at PCC I believe that all of our alternates where called and are in the program. One of my friends gave up and went to Hawaii after getting placed on the alternate list and he was called a month before the program started, so he quickly ended his vacation, he was alternate # 25
I have a co-worker who is going to MtH CC and she was on the alternate list, also somewhere in the double digits and was called to be in the program the day before it started.
I haven't gotten my letter yet. Does anyone know what the cut off points were in the past? I felt like mine was on the lower end. I didn't earn any extra points on that last sheet with work experience or CNA with CCC etc. I felt it was low, but can't remember what it was. Would appreciate any insight if anyone knows anything about it! Thanks in advance!!! :) :) :)
